Educate me, why celebrate a "Mid" Autumn festival if we are the beginning of fall? Is it mid Autumn in Asia?

Because it is now pumpkin-spice everything ! I bought some pumpkin spice Twinkies the other day and they are actually very good.

I'm not sure, but the name dates back over 1000 years, so maybe that long ago it would have been the middle of autumn.
