And then if you look at Antares, it's obviously orange also.
That's a great pic you took, too bad you lost the video. Very cool. What did you take the pic with? I don't own a telescope, but maybe I'll buy one with my next royal. There's more to life than just gambling. (just kidding)
There are a few websites where you can track it's location. Could even mess with people in Vegas (Or anywhere) as it flies overhead making them think it's a UFO! Especially on nights where it disappears into the earth's shadow.

Thanks for understanding. I didn't mean to dook all over your thread. Hulk Hogan made those leg drops look so real, though!

Those leg drops really F'd up his back though. I think he even said it caused him to lose a few inches of height from spinal compression.

That's pretty funny just because it is actually going to go almost right over Vegas in just 45 minutes or so, (written at 8:30 pacific time on 8/14), and it will go into eclipse soon after, (over AZ).
I think this is the best site for tracking not just the shuttle, but other objects as well.

It goes by about every hour and a half, and I've seen 2 passes in a night before. It's about 240 miles up so it becomes eclipsed by the earth relatively quickly after the sun sets. It's traveling about 16,500 MPH.

Yeah, well you gotta crack some eggs if you want to make some omelettes. Just look at what happened to Gus Grissom of Apollo 1 fame who was an outspoken unbeliever in the program. "How are we going to make it to the moon when we can't talk between two buildings." He and his crew later burned alive inside their craft during a pre-launch test.
Quote: HullabalooOops, a little sooner than that. Right now it's just passing over Tokyo, and should be right over Las Vegas at about 9 PM. For those that have never seen it, it looks just like a large, moving star. This pass is about as bright as it gets, at -2.4. For comparison, Sirius is the brightest star at -1, and the moon runs around -14, (as I recall).

Should still be visible...

Thank you for this link. I just got back from my walk, it looks like it just went over Uruguay. I will bookmark this, thanks.
