Quote: ElisVandyckHEY GUYS I HAVE A QUESTION ON BLACKJACK.
At my local casino you are allowed to sit out hands (and the slow pace makes it incredibly easy to card count) is there an optimum strategy when used in conjunction with card counting (zen count) and what is the player advantage if used perfectly. You really can sit out for 6 hands, play 1, then sit out another 6 they're that lenient.
Thank you to all respondents.
Wait, before we get started here.....I though card counting was illegal or against casino rules or something?? anyone??? Maybe it's just frowned upon, like masturbating on an airplane?

That's frowned upon? IMO as long as you use one of those free blankets and keep it all under the drop-down tray, you can do as you please.

Seconded.

But I thought you only get blankets in first class? Maybe it's just a Southwest thing with no blankets.

I know aint nobody got time for jacking it in the bathroom. Especially an hour long flight.

"Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell you, I gotta plead ignorence on this thing, because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here that that sort of thing is frowned upon... you know, cause I've worked in a lot of offices, and I tell you, people do that all the time."
Quote: AxelWolfI'm not going to lend a hand to this conversation.
Are you sure? You'd be quite handy if you were to take a whack at it. You might jerk some people's attention to it.

Its better to do that on the airplane flying into Vegas than at the blackjack table itself. You might accidentally . . um .. "mark" some of the cards. Then we'd be subjected to another silly Paigowdan tirade about cheating the casino.

What is an hour away from Vegas? LA? SF? Reno?
Plus, how long does it take you that an hour isn't enough time...geez.

I flew a connector from Vegas to Reno. Airlines are weird, making people fly to a smaller airport to get to a bigger airport.
Well it doesn't take the whole hour, but remember you have to stay in your seat until the plane gets to a safe altitude, seat belt light goes off, order your drink, beat all the people who had to pee during takeoff, and then finally get to the bathroom so you can take care of business. Why do all that when RS just suggested we can do it in our seats? Saves a lot of time and aggravation. Hopefully nobody carries a blacklight on the flight.

Unpacking the shovels, rakes, and implements of destruction is what takes the time.
It's not really worth it without them.
