Selfies phots extendable pole

I have never seen this before my last trip to Vegas for Asian New Year. Seriously! This is one of the most silliest things I have ever seen. Has to rank right up there with The Wham-O Eight Ball, remember the 8-Ball you would ask questions to and something would flash across the small screen. I saw three guys hugging each other in front of the Bellagio fountains with a pinkish/lavender anodized telescopic pole and a I-Phone grasp in its claws. Then throughout the trip I noticed many others with it. I don't know where you were raised or how, but I did not grow up taking pictures of myself with an extendable pole for whatever reasons. We took pictures of ourselves the same as they did before the extendable claw holder or whatever its called. By turning the camera around and snapping away getting close ups of our teeth and face.

Many museums are banning the use of them as they are afraid items will get hit or paintings will get poked by accident.

I have heard rumors of these things. I have never seen one. Maybe it is more of a Western thing. ( " you should buy a selfie pole" is a joke/snide comment I have been hearing people say to people who take too many selfies).

I am not a big picture person. But, even so, I can't imagine carrying around a huge pole all night while at Vegas (and presumably drinking dancing etc...) seems like it would be bulky and make the night a chore. If I really feel the need to have a picture of myself somewhere I will just ask a friendly bystander.

I think social media makes people do stupid things. Some people literally live their life to get cool pics to buff up their facebook profile. I don't feel the need to record things that I do, I just enjoy myself. I have hated pictures since I was a little kid, it has always seemed silly to me, people spend so much of their vacation time posing for pictures that they will never look at again, I would rather just relax and enjoy myself.

It appears to be a multi extendable little pole with numerous sections. But still, LOL to the max. Hold on, let me extend my pole, it's getting an erection!!!!

I never insinuated that, maybe strange??? However the pole in AceofSpades case is entirely something else.

Kind of reminds me of this guy I knew on Jerome Avenue in the Bronx back in the late 80's. he was the king of the avenue, per se. He used to walk with a big stick, kind of like the one in the original Walking Tall movie, but his had some notches along it and varnished.
