They stopped using them and gave the new ones to some folks at the casino.
This is a black felt. I'm going to be picking it up in the next few days for what we both feel is a fair price (I offered him a nice price because I really want it).
To felt my table is going to require a couple of people, but I'm looking forward to swapping from my orange felt to a black felt. It should look really nice. It's been a long time since I got my table.
For the new videos I put on you tube, it will help delineate the new videos from the older videos. Anyway, I know even on here probably nobody cares, but I'm excited!
I doubt it has fire bets on it, but the Rio felts look pretty nice! Except of course for paying double in the field and terrible odds on the prop bets, but who bets those bets anyway?
Question, where'd you get your table? I haven't done that much research but I'd like to have one, someday. I assume you can't just buy one brand new, and most people get them after they've been decommissioned or whatever.
Quote: beachbumbabsCraigslist is a great place to find used gaming equipment of all levels.
I bought the table from craigslist, and I am definitely familiar with that resource. But this felt is actually one of those sort of coveted items since it's never been touched at all and it's actually a very nice black color from what I understand. I told someone else about this opportunity and they said it was very likely worth more than I am going to pay for it (which is quite a bit actually, but I'm not disclosing what I'm paying).
I didn't want to quibble with the guy, I just want the felt.

Like the link above, you can get used ones for pretty cheap, but I want a new one that still has everything perfect. Those are just harder to find.

PS: if you have a pool table or whatever, they have stuff you roll out too

Actually, you can buy a table brand new. Most folks buy used, since it is much cheaper.
Proprietary felt, is harder to come by, since it contains trademarked logos.
As I have shared, our school owns 100% of our gaming equipment tables and equipment used during our frequent fundraising events. We purchased this 14' table on eBay about 10 years ago for $2,400, including shipping from CA (we are in MI).
It's been in use ever since and, it is an ATM!
Like all our tables, we have custom layouts made for them using the schools logo. The work is done by Uwearinc. in California. Francis Lin is the owner and works with us fastidiously throughout the entire process so we get it just right. I highly recommend his company.

In addition, I mentioned in another thread that last week a local gentleman donated a casino-quality 12' craps table to our school in brand new condition. We definitely needed a second craps table to handle all the people wanting to play. We will be ordering a custom layout for that table shortly.

Ack! Get that bottle of beer off the table, and onto the shelf! hehe
A very nice set up!
I've often thought about a darkside craps version:
- Play on black felt.
- You only lose the dice when you make the point. "Seven out. Same shooter." Or "Point. New shooter."
- Instead of the Fire bet, an Ice bet for the number of points not made.
- A smaller Come box to make room for a second DC box. (Hell, I'd like this on regular tables...)

Spinetti's is across the street from the Gambler's General Store, about 1/2 mile south of Fremont on Main St. Both are fine, reputable businesses.
Although there's plenty of product overlap, Spinetti's caters more towards unusual / collectors items while Gambler's is more of a casino supermarket.

I've ordered things from Spinetti's several times. Probably a good thing I didn't realize where it was located, because I would've spent lots of money in there, browsing the actual store. Already on my list, though, for next time I'm in Vegas.
Well that's fitting because there is a 99% chance this won't happen.Quote: AhighLOL. There's a 1% chance.

There is bad blood between them and Gambler's General Store. GGS has been around for decades and Spinetti's is newer, having started on the internet as a chip collector and re-seller. They still specialize in hard-to-find and valuable casino chips. Spinetti's is a much smaller shop with a little overlap of items from GGS, but most prices are higher on the Spinetti's stuff. They constantly are talking trash about each other, and most recently, GGS built a fence between the parking lot of GGS and Spinetti's. It was common for people to park at GGS and then walk to Spinetti's afterwards (and back). This has always been a problem with GGS considering Spinetti's the newcomer and Spinetti's considering GGS as a terribly run business that doesn't charge enough and can't pay the bills.
There is so much drama between these two shops that it's unreal, actually.
At home it would be cool Ahigh. Just use a lot of white and yellow chips and find white casino dice.

Thanks.
Actually, this pic is from a a dealer training party that we conduct prior to our big 4-day event under a huge tent in the spring. We provide beer and pizza and everybody has a good time. Once in a while we'll find a volunteer or two that might be proficient at craps however, we mostly hire pros for this game. It's well worth the investment.
Here's the table in real action in the tent. Check out the dice in mid air.

Yup, but that still leaves a chance now doesn't it? Cackling is what "costed" some would-be bettors from getting in on the action in the first place. For the best I'm sure, my HOA strictly prohibits hens of any sort within the development. Too much noise and a ton of their S#$T leaves them wanting in. On the outside looking in is where they belong...100% of the time.
I can only speculate what you meant by that. I think this entire thing is fishy beyond the normal BS, I'm usually right , I know a few people that will attest to that.Quote: MaxSwelleYup, but that still leaves a chance now doesn't it? I'm not ashamed to be wrong at times, I hope I am in this case and it does happen. I seem to remember thinking JJ had to be a troll after her first post but I quickly recanted before any real proof. I admitted I was wrong (unlike some people who ran and hid. I apologized for my behavior and moved on to become friendly with her outside the forum.
If I can verify to my satisfaction this takes place(stuff like this rarely does) I will also apologize to you.
Even if this did happen, it seems that $2500 may not be enough to go around in the first place, for the amount of time and effort it would take. It looks like Mr. Poo has even invited Mike to help verify and observe this. I have no doubt he would want compensation for his time or even ask for part of the action.

That has never been Mike's style to ask for compensation. Axel, you are talking for many people.... me, Mike, etc.... let us talk for ourselves!
