I guess I missed that, but I saw Riviera was advertising "Extreme Midget Mud Wrestling." Or maybe it was just plain everyday "Extreme Midget Wrestling" without mud that they were doing. Maybe they still are.

EDIT to add: Here ya go. Apparently it was only a two day gig:

EXTREME MIDGET WRESTLING FEDERATION AT THE RIVIERA
Quote:

Experience the action-packed wrestling of Lil' Macho Man, Tiny Terminator, Lil' Rampage, Nasty Boy, Baby Chucky and more go head-to-head as the Riviera Hotel and Casino hosts the only midget wrestling on the Las Vegas Strip, May 27 and 29 in the Riviera Convention Center. Sexy ring girls, halftime dancers and entertainers will perform between bouts.

That douchebag was hilarious! I remember this one well. They should let him out of the slammer for one week a month just for public entertainment. He was a super skilled big time pokah playa, but it seems his living allowance that he got from daddy didn't stretch far enough; apparently being his kind of poker pro is actually rather expensive somehow. Imagine that. He robbed the casino he played in everyday (Bellagio) and kept playing there after his heist. Then he posted offers to sell high-denom Bellagio chips at a big discount on 2+2. LV Metro PD helped him out with that.

Does anyone on here know much about the RFID that is located in chips?

Its not as precise or comprehensive as military asset tracking using RFID but it allows the Green Eye Shade types as well as the Pit and Floor to know where chips are so fills go faster and if fills go faster, tables do not have to as "rich" in their boxes or dealer trays. This lets operating capital be in the cage rather than the dealer trays where it is less secure.

It also lets people know if a chip at any precise moment was in a betting circle, in a tip circle or in a player's hand or in the player's rack.

Yes, movement that fine in distance and time can be tracked and should already be on camera. Of major interest is chips to cage and cashier (each). Also the black fronted, white labeled, clear plastic drop boxes will have chips and that is critical. Regs in Vegas require precise collection of such drop boxes and substitution with new ones. (Its nice to KNOW the computer agrees that the dolly has only what is supposed to be there and no "extra" ones). Main thing is that no matter what schedule disruptions there may be due to whatever taking place, the box pickups can be precisely scheduled. ANY discrepancy in scheduled time versus actual time of box removal requires paperwork. Persistent discrepancies can bring visits from unsmiling Gaming Board types or unsmiling US Treasury types.

As boxes go off to Counting Rooms, its nice to be able to audit what players were at a certain table what chips they had and if those chips are now in the box or not. It allows finer operational control by the casino and finer knowledge by the taxing authorities. Its not just for resolving disputes about Green chip versus Blackchip or in my rack versus in the layout's betting area.

Remember, the RFID tags are expensive but well worth it. All drop box pickups currently are scheduled within two minutes. The Treasury doesn't care when you actually do it as long as it is within two minutes of scheduled time. Soon its going to get even finer than that.

I like this thread. It is a good place to say something without worrying about the hijacking rule to say something that you don't wish to devote a whole thread to.

That said, I've been in a bad mood pretty much since the Cyprus bank failure last year. Things have just going from bad to worse for me financially. I appreciate the many donations sent, but they simply were nowhere need what I keep my sites afloat.

I will have a major announcement to make in about a week. For now, just know that things are more secure for me financially. You may note that the "donate" link has been removed from the footer, as I am pulling back my tin cup and using it to pour myself a stiff drink of vodka.

For now, may the rumors start flying.

I thought the Cyprus banks are doing fine its just the customers that went under.

They were the test for the new banking "model" and since the first bank "bail in", laws in many central bank regions have passed to protect the banks and the taxpayers. haha =not funny. Even Canada and NZ have passed similar laws, of course the oligarchs are allowed to escape a few days early.

The banks will be protected at all costs, much like the cog plans to save the politicos in case of attack.

Doomsday preppers can rest assured that should they crawl out of they're caves after surviving a nuclear winter, that just like cockroaches, the government and bankers will survive as well. Wheee, this controlling the world is a blast. And now, back to war games.

I like this, "ya can't hijack this thread bro", it works well for a random thinker.

I believe that there are laws that say that credit unions must have some sort of membership restrictions in order to avoid being regulated in the same way that banks are.

Personally, I find that, once you have some money, banks are way better to deal with than credit unions. They will give you a lot more for the privilege of handling your money.

I think credit unions were originally intended to be used within the community. They wanted to keep their loans in the community. It is different now a days so I don't think that they should still do this, but they do.

Billionaire Sheldon Adelson is expanding his gaming conglomerate to now include internet and social media. Mr. Adelson today announced his purchase of the assets once belonging to The Wizard of Odds. Mr. Adelson had nothing but praise for his former employee Mr. Shackleford, "The Wizard was a tremendous asset to Sands Corporation and I look forward to once again owning and controlling Mr. Shackleford".

The purchase amount and details were not disclosed but is now believed that Mr. Adelson owns Mr. Shackleford's three children and both websites "WizardofOdds.com" and "WizardofVegas.com". These asset purchases will allow Mr. Adelson access to all names and IP adresses of advantage players. It is assumed that both websites will be converted to Sarah Palin for President platforms.

Hey you all seem pretty sure! +200 seems like a good deal for you.

Lucky for you I am a nice guy. I have inside information !
Shed not for her the bitter tear Nor give the heart to vain regret Tis but the casket that lies here, The gem that filled it Sparkles yet

I've been talking with the Wizard and he is putting together a high limit roulette team by charting roulette wheels at all casinos who can fade his bets; El Cortez, Railroad Pass, Circus Circus, Hooters (not for roulette just for the wings), Longhorn, and some others. He and Bob Dancer will be tackling high limit non-progressive slots by shoving old ladies when they hit a bonus round.
