I didn't take it seriously. Why is no one asking if the Wizard was serious?

I never think he's not serious when he says he's angry. At such times it's best to back off slowly.

As it is with bears, don't make eye contact either.

Thanks for being the guinea pig. Three-day suspension.
This is Marcy, my son's guinea pig.
Lots of history with those things. Originally kept as a food source, which I find amazing. Imagine the conversation back then wondering where fido was then eating him for dinner unknowingly.Quote: WizardThanks for being the guinea pig. Three-day suspension.

Which post. Mike was kidding, Mickey was kidding.
Mickey just went too far with it.

In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have posted yesterday, but I truly was in a once a year foul mood, but was still joking around. As Bob said, Mickey took his response too far. Note I gave him only three days, despite his long suspension record.

Maybe I should have posted my Just for Fun thread here instead :)
Glad you are feeling better Wizard

Babs, I mean this metaphorically, but I can not believe no moderator had the balls to suspend " Wizard " for this blatant example of trolling. Mike's House = Mike's Rules. But nowhere in the rules do I see Administrators being exempt from the rules of conduct. A 3 day suspension seems appropriate and should be enforced immediately. To quote Aceofspades " Justice delayed is justice denied. ".
If this causes Mister Shackleford to be unable to post his NFL picks, so be it. Perhaps in the future he will be more cognizant of what Little Beaver said when he grew up to be a white man. If all the Administrators remain derelict in their duties, can someone at least PM me what size pointed hat the Wizard wears.
Respectfully, Buzzard

Then you should also suspend yourself, for trolling a member into being banned.
edit: I didn't see Buzzard's reply, which I wholly agree with. No troll, no rant. No rant, no ban.

He was 100% right. The curses are part of the way he expresses it. But it doesn't change the validity of the sentiment. Go ahead, ban me for agreeing with someone who cursed you out. But if you are going to be honest, ban yourself for three days.

Oh, NOW it's all a joke.
Again, I call for a suspension of Wizard, for not treating his forum, and his forum members, with the proper respect. It's like a cop that gets in a foul mood. Decides to take it out on a citizen, so he goes and picks on someone who he knows has a bit of a temper. Dares him to swing. Doesn't matter that the guy knows the cop is joking when the guy gets his arm twisted up behind his back, tossed in the back of the cruiser, and taken to the hoosegow to sleep it off, and then the next morning let go with the charges dropped. Because hey--no harm, no foul, right? We were all just having fun, after all. But the folks who saw it, they know what happened.

I have been watching a lot lately between AGT, wizard wars, fool us, and a few other shows. I am to the point where the only way that these are done is either 1. camera tricks, 2. the audience and judges are in on it, or 3. they have one of the remotes from the move Click where they can stop time and complete the trick.
Some of these things that they are doing are just not possible. There is just no way it can be done. Even some of the close up stuff or the prediction stuff. Nope not possible.

I thought that was an error, but wasn't sure. I don't do (much, if any) in sports bets, so I always get confused on the + and - signs.
+220 means "bet 100 to win 220" and -190 means "bet 190 to win 100"....right? If that's true, then one could bet both sides and be a guaranteed winner...yes?

not a guarantee win but can't lose
bet 290 to get paid 320
or
bet 290 to get paid 290

I have this problem as well since I am relatively new to sports betting. How I remember is minus = you pay that much to win $100, and plus = how much you win paying $100. Of course I bet the Seahawks almost every week so I'm used to laying odds, that's how I remember it as well :)
Does this discrepancy mean you net $30 per bet on both sides?
I'm a sucker for lay bets. If I played craps I'd lay the 4 and 10 all day. Last Superbowl my favorite bets were "no overtime", another one I can't remember but it was at least -500.
Yes, that's correct.Quote: RS+220 means "bet 100 to win 220" and -190 means "bet 190 to win 100"....right? If that's true, then one could bet both sides and be a guaranteed winner...yes?

Its always funny until somebody loses an eye
If you bet $190 on "Not - NO crying" at -190 then if that side is the winner that ticket will pay $100 on top of your $190 for a total of $290. And if you bought an additional ticket on the same side of "Not" for $19 then if this is the winner that added ticket will be worth $10 added to $19 for a payout of $29.
So, with our three tickets, by putting $100 on yes and $209 on no, we have invested a total of $309 altogether. If there is crying, our total cost of $309 pays us back $320 from the one good ticket for an overal profit of $11. If that ticket is worthless, then our other two tickets are worth a total of $319 ($290 & $29), leaving us a profit of $10 after accounting for everything. Heads we win, tails we win, repeat 1,000 times and cry to the bank, but don't expect a buffet comp.

Quote: GWAEwow you guys are really over reacting to nothing. His house, his rules. If you don't like them you have other options.
I do agree about the his house/his rules thing. But an analogy would be if you were opening your house for a party and then challenging them to misbehave and then (gleefully)tossing somebody out for calling you out on your rude behavior.
I personally think it is bad form, and yes, I could go elsewhere...but that is still not the point.
