Sometimes I read something that strikes a nerve.
I wonder how things might be different if : Well draw your own conclusion.

Breadlines in the mailbox?
Some counties used to publish the names on the Welfare List. In Chicago most of the soup kitchens were run by Al Capone. NYC had Three Penny Restaurants for those too proud to accept Welfare.
For a long time poverty has been exported to the suburbs and to rural areas.
