Sorry to bring up football when you can't join in.
Hope she comes back at some point.
Quote: JuyemuraI actually do miss Nareed. Yes the whole thing with SooPoo was a uncalled for, but I honestly felt that Nareed was a fantastic contributor 99% of the time.
Hope she comes back at some point.
I tried to "get" the whole SOOPOO deal but never did...I do miss her contributions on other threads. I just wonder if she can leave the whole HB/SOOPOO thing alone upon her return?????

I don't know, Ron.... Do you have any idea of how big and mean a bully SOOPOO is? Oh, wait...none of us do...nevermind.
I found a way. Y'all can go back to your regularly scheduled lives now...
Quote: FarFromVegasOkay, this wasn't supposed to be a poll of who missed Nareed or a referendum on the whole HB/SOOPOO deal--I was just trying to communicate with a friend.

What is wrong with chiming in that we miss her, too...we just hope she can come back and get off of the subject that has caused her way too much grief?

Nothing, until it devolves into another thread like the original. Just trying to head that off at the pass.

Probably won't happen. I started a thread on the Democrats issue with God and Jerusalem and those two things are barely mentioned in the thread; we don't stay on track really well around here!!

That's the problem--I'm trying to keep it on track! Look at what happened to the HB Challenge thread. Which split off into at least three threads and a PM brouhaha.
vacay in Bermuda. Will there be pics of the holiday?
Recipes from abroad? We'll have to wait and see.
soooo, I'm saying, don't be too surprised.

I am not making this up!
I was going to mention this before Nareed comes off suspension on Oct 3, but during the suspension an enforced truce was reached where neither party may PM each other or even refer to each other in the forum. Both sides agreed. I consider SOOPOO's post a violation of that truce. The length reflects his status as a first-time offender.
Quote: DeMangoReally? If that email address is factual then someone else needs a longer suspension!
Not necessarily. If I understand the terms of the truce, it was no PM'ing and no referring to each other on the forum. There's no way the Wiz & Co. can police behavior beyond the walls of this particular asylum.

Well it's in the asylum now, but the original PM that got the suspension wasn't, to our eyes anyway.
Quote: DeMangoWell it's in the asylum now
Well, sure, but Nareed didn't bring it here. Even if she created the email account and emailed SOOPOO with it, those things aren't a violation of the terms of the truce. You could make an argument about it not being in the spirit of the truce, but the admins here don't have any dominion over what goes on outside of here and no way to prove or disprove that Nareed broke the truce first (in spirit).
Quote: WizardSOOPOO gets seven days for violating a truce and posting of personal information (which I will neither confirm nor deny is true).

I have my doubts that the truce will last and I would bet you that the end result will be yet another suspension for Nareed. Too bad but I have my reasons (even proof of a kind) for thinking that will be the case.
SOOPOO has already violated the truce and he may well end up with another stretch in the joint.
The HotBlonde debacle cannot end soon enough for the forum; it isn't even fun any more. SOOPOO did a lot to get increase her motivation (he put together thousands of reasons for her success) to reach her goal. I'm also going to predict she'll end up insulting someone who disagrees with her as she did recently. Perhaps someone will actually insult her, too, and there will be a fourth.
There are three or four predicted suspensions in the next month in addition to the ones already in effect.
And on the 18th, I'll be checking the news to see if Las Vegas is still standing.

I'm rather glad that I will be out of the country and probably without internet access when this all is likely to hit the fan. Maybe the dust will have settled by the time I get back to the forum.

Quote: Mission146The creation of the E-Mail address would have occurred outside of this Forum and is not subject to Forum Rules in and of itself.
I don't think anyone needs to worry about the whole email address thing too much related to the rules here...the whole bully thing is out of hand within the trio of Nareed, HotBlonde, and SOOPOO. I can't imagine them lasting more than a few days (hours?) without additional disciplinary action because it would appear that things might even be going on outside the forum and they'll bleed over here pretty quickly.
I'm hoping Nareed is grown up enough to not have done that.
will be over. Whether Nareed will be back is
a different story.

If this disturbing news is true it is nothing but petty, vindictive and antagonistic and it speaks volumes to the character of anyone who would do such a thing.

True or false, this says those things about someone here!!

Thanks! Although it's not football when the Cowboys and Broncos are winning. Last week was very ambivalent...
And thanks to all the others who expressed their support here. And to those who PMed me. I'll reply as soon as possible.

Even the replacement refs couldn't have helped my sorry-ass Jets last week. But I knew the 49ers would slaughter them. The only reason I picked the Giants over the 9ers in the Super Bowl contest was Manning.

Oh, well, that's a whole lot of heartbreak. Too much even for a city as large(ish) as New York.
Look on the brigth side: the Cowboys are now owned by Steinbrener's evil twin ;)
About the replacement refs: For three weeks of regular season the games were refereed by officials who were every bit as bad as the fans claimed the regular officials always were. It's a good object lesson, one which will be forgotten by week ten when the playoff picture shapes up. Then we'll be complainign about the latest (regular) referee who bungles the coin toss, abuses the tuck rule and whistles dead a fumble one mile above sea level.
