It ticks me off that there are no water fountains in Las Vegas casinos, at least none that are "out there in the open" for all to see and use.

Heck, it's a desert, for christ sake.

The notion of paying for water really pisses me off.

Oh sure, if I am gambling the CW can bring me one, but then it is expected that I tip her, and why tip for water, something that should be readily available for free?

Why spend all the money to fly to Las Vegas if the corporate model is designed to Bust My Ass?

Bah.

Given the cleanliness of most water fountains and how long they have to run before even that cleanliness standard is reached, you are better off tipping a pretty, half-naked girl a dollar.

Hell, if she is half-naked I will tip her a dollar and she can keep the water.

It POes the owner of the water-fountain as well, which is why there are so few of them. If you want "free water" take a canteen and fill it in your room. Or buy bottles at Costco and carry them. Do not expect the proprietor of a place to give free water to all comers.

Just wait until the new taxes come in to pay for what Obamacare really costs in 10 years. Heck, by then they will be making you "rent" the cards before they deal the game.

Exactly. If you don't mind looking like a bum you can do what I do. I stop at a convenience store before breakfast and pick up a gallon for a dollar. I carry that around with me to hydrate myself from the night before. This is also useful when the servers are slow to refill my water at meals. I finish it in the afternoon sometime then it's back to boozin.

This is ridiculous: the casinos should simply put in water fountains, or a self service water dispenser with cups and ice.

All the tribal casinos I visit do this, but none in Las Vegas ( M tried it, and removed the self serve units).

I've been going to Vegas since the mid 70's and was always
told they don't have fountains because they don't want street
people coming in just for the water. Indian joints have beverage
stations because they don't have that problem.

Sure, that's what they said, but it is B.S.

How many street people visit Red Rock or GVR?

Lotta tramps hanging around Bellagio?

One tried to pick me up at The Bellagio once. It was right after 9/11/2001. Back before Obamacare.

Ridiculous post of the day. Water is free at casinos. No one forces you to tip. Yes, Obamacare has a lot to do with this post. Now I know how to hijack every post you make.
