All they need to do is slow the game down to a snails pace like Sam's Town does and lower the cash back to chase pros away.

Borrowing this statement for my gripe.

Sam's Town was my almost daily haunt at one time. I'm not kidding about daily. I was there a lot.

Came one month or two when several players starting asking them to speed up some of the FPDW. In fact, some of the machines were set to play fast, and some not so fast. But at least SOME of the machines were set fast!

Well, you call techs, they would pop open the machine and set the speed up fast on a slow machine. And believe it or not some people preferred a slow turning cards on these machines, so the opposite sometimes happened. Well, this freakin' yoyo requests (as far as I could tell) from the f***king bozos coincides with the signs going up on the machine, that "speed can not be adjusted" Not true, I'm pretty sure. They just got tired of being bothered.

And the secondary effect, almost all the machines were left middlin to slow after that.

Thus, why the title of the post. Thanks for nothing to the bunch of idiots.

***NOTE, this was awhile back. Maybe the situation has changed by now. But it still grinds my gears whenever I'm reminded about it.
There's no secret. Just know what you're talking about before you open your mouth.

Slow video poker machines are aggravating and make matters worse for everyone.

1. The machine's speed gets reduced
2. The casino's hourly win drops as a result
3. The boss notices the drop in the machine's performance
4. The paytable gets downgraded to make up for it

All because some drunk and/or old person didn't like the cards appearing so fast.

This reminds me of the VP machines at Horseshoe Southern Indiana. Most of the bill acceptors don't work for most bills. However, the paytables are great (for the Midwest), and I hesitate to complain so they don't "fix" the machines.
