Quote: onenickelmiracleI Don't know if it's just my imagination, but I think my Marlboros don't have as much tobacco in them. I first noticed how quickly I had been smoking them then have since noticed they feel packed lighter having less tobacco and feel loose in my fingers. I would quit immediately in protest, but there is still some nicotine in them.
Quitting must be one of the hardest things to do, I undertand that but perhaps just open your drawer one morning, look at the packs lying there, close the drawer and never smoke again!!
I KNOW you can do it!!! :)
Did you know one drop of pure nicotine on your tongue will kill you instantly?Quote: tournamentkingPeople still smoke and admit to that awful habit? How do such folks live with themselves?

I don't know anything about nicotine or smoking except it's disgusting, stupid, and disrespectful to others who try to stay in good health.
Sounds like most of your posts.Quote: tournamentkingI don't know anything about nicotine or smoking except it's disgusting, stupid, and disrespectful to others who try to stay in good health.

You can hear that? Typical smoker.

Come on now, maybe less tobacco means it will take longer for your health to deteriorate.
You didn't ask for a lecture so I'll try to hold my tongue. Perhaps it's a quality control issue. Have some fun with it and contact the company. You'll probably get all kinds of free stuff. Be sure to save the packs in question. Ask for one of the Marlboro men. Oh wait, they're all dead from lung cancer.

It is quite possible you got an under filled pack, the biggest clue to me would be the smoking them faster. Ever since they added the chemical to make them go out if left unattended too long, they seem to smoke a lot slower. If they were looser and had more airflow I suspect it would smoke much faster like you feel. They probably won't do anything about it, but that sucks nonetheless. Don't know what it costs you for a pack where you are, but I could see being rather upset if you paid $10-$15 for a pack like it is around here.
Now I just roll chopped up $1 bills, into a $1 bill and smoke that, its much cheaper.
you're going twice as fast.

I would like to point that previously folks were wondering if Bob ever contributed anything positive to WoV. I present this post as a rebuttal to that argument.
Very good advice, kind of like double fisting your booze.
Smokes are about five or six bucks with the cheapest being in West Virginia, a lower taxed state. It's just something I've noticed lately and very well could be my imagination. I suspect it isn't and could be a sneaky way for people to buy more. Thanks for staying on topic.Quote: TranscendIt is quite possible you got an under filled pack, the biggest clue to me would be the smoking them faster. If you are interested in quitting, I wish you the best. If you enjoy smoking, then who am I to care one way or the other ? But I do admit I appreciate the fact that my state has gone NON-smoking in public places, EVEN casinos.
There are some VERY FUNNY posts in this thread, a little humor never hurt anybody.
It time to buy Rosetta Stone, learn spanish and become a cig bootleggin' MoFo. Fill up a semi and head straight to China Town NYC. Bypass Kansas.
Quote: IbeatyouracesIts not the cigs that are expensive. Its the taxes that come with them. With some brands, the tax is more than the pack of cigs themselves!
Very very true, growing up in Chicago I can remember packs were around $3 fifteen or so years ago, now the price is around $12-$15.
Better avoid Maryland also. You can only have 2 packs from another state.Quote: treetopbuddyI don't smoke and couldn't care less that people do......I can't believe how expensive cigs have become. Years ago I remember that a pack of cigs could be had for 60 cents in Mexico. The pack reads "not for US consumption" or something like that.....
