Just looking to make it a new year. Josie's meds stabilizing, although she has been taking afternoon naps due to feeling tired. Her pastor's memorial service is Monday afternoon, then Tuesday is New Years eve. Bet $20 on what looked like a maiden lock at Tampa bay. Got home and logged onto equibase for results while Josie took dog for a walk. Phone rings and it's Josie, 1/4 block from home, can't make it, chest pains. Get her and dog into van, drive to firehouse house, ambulance out on call ? put on flashers, 15 minutes to hospital if you drive safe and stop for red lights. Put my eta at 5-6 minutes. By THAT time the pains have stopped, Josie want's go home. Not happening, NO WAY.

She tells doctor having small chest pains last 3 days when walking dog, but go away after she sits down at home GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. never told me.

Run EKG, different from last year, that's not exactly good. She starts crying when Doc thinks she should stay a day or 2 minimum, because of Memorial service . SILLY woman. Josie makes me promises not call any of her 3 daughters. I promise. They take her for . xrays, I call Mary Jo, my middle daughter. She is with Josie now. I came home to get night clothes and list of Josie's meds.

Heading back to hospital in a few minutes. Not overly religious but if anybody wants to put in a kind word with any supreme being, I will owe you one.

Speaking of owing, no idea who I bet what on NFL and hate not picking last 2 weeks. Who ever wins the pool or anybody else, just PM me and I will pay whatever with interest whenever.

I'll do what I've done for the last 30 years.
Stay home, watch the ball drop and all the
idiots in Times Square when it's zero degrees,
and go to bed. But Ace in AC this NYE and
I'm jonsin for schaden, so I might have to
monitor how he's doing.

Stress test in am, then go from there. Thanks Babs. Bob if I am distracted it's up to you to watch ACE. Ana Cumpanas is rumored to be wearing an orange dress and looking for Ace.

I did Times Square one year, while I was living on the east coast. I like to experience different things and NYE in Times Square seemed like something I wanted to try. I have to say it was maybe the most over-hyped thing I have ever done. Security was very tight. Metal detectors to get in the secure zone and you had to be in the secure zone 6 hours before midnight, and couldn't leave. It was a long night of standing. Luckily it wasn't real cold, I guess mid 30's.

After midnight we went clubbing until dawn and then caught the train back to Philly. I slept pretty good on that train ride back to Philly. lol

I did the strip thing, my first year in Vegas. That too is overhyped. Casinos lock down at 11 and if you leave, you can't get back in until after midnight. I wouldn't care if I stayed home, but my younger brother is in town and his GF is coming into town on Monday, and they want to do the whole strip thing, so I will brave the crowds and pick-pockets and scammers and try to have a good time.

No offense, but you're still pretty young and you'll
realize as you get older that everything on NYE is
overhyped. That's why I laugh at all the dopes in
Time Square, and it will be 10 above zero this
year. Lots of schaden for me..
