What does it take to get the casinos to budge?

I know your importance is controlled by a rating number, but there should be times where plain logic is good enough.
I'm basically told to just shove it. They don't seem to ever budge an inch.

The Harrahs rate calendar will total the daily rates, show a total rate for a stay, then switch it considerably higher for booking. There are disclaimers stating the rates are only meant for single night stays, but how much sense does this make after it clearly shows a total cost when all are chosen. The response I get is "there are only a set number of rooms available at a price, then the computer gives the next available rate". It doesn't even make sense unless the number of available rooms is 0.

I'll probably switch or modify my reservation and am willing to pay a little more somewhere else out of spite. I should be doing a little more calling around and probably will, but what tricks or recommendations do you have to getting your way?

You can see the rates, total price quoted, then the switch below. It is interesting to find out, logged out, it does not do this, though the rates are higher. As you can see, I am nowhere close to being diamond or anywhere else near it. McDonald's wouldn't quote a price for hamburgers then charge more each if you bought 3, but Harrahs does. It just defies logic and fairness to quote a total price, then not honor it. Plus, you know damn well either the sink, the tub, or the toilet is almost guaranteed not to work when I get there.

You know like I do, it all comes down to ADT. But do you use a host at any of the TR casinos? They can usually get you comped at other properties based on your play at their home casino. Are you looking at AC or LV?

LV usually starts low or comped at Quad, then moves up from there. AC usually has Ballys first then the 'Boat, again based on your ADT.

But I would try to host on duty route if you don't have one. It may be worth a try.

Thanks Boz. Please note I did edit it to show more information. I'm not worthy of a host since I have only been there once losing $225 among 3 days. I'm going to AC in 5 weeks. It kind of sucks because I feel anywhere no matter what I do while at a place, I'm going to get the old FU no matter what. There must be a sucker list and I'm on it. Even when I had high ADT at a casino and high tier, I still got the shit list treatment.

You're going to AC? Are you sure that it's the room rate that's jumping? Taxes and fees can't be discounted or comped in NJ, and I think they only appear on the second of those two screens on the TR website...

Yes. Sunday $74, Monday $43, Tuesday $39(total $156) became $113, $82, $78(total $273) to which fees of $30 and taxes of $38.22 were added. This was a few days ago and since then I have been able to use a FB/twitter discount combined with TR to get the total to $186. It just blows my mind. It's like going to the buffet, being told it costs $20, then the CC receipt says $35 and being told "Oh, no, your price is $35. Sorry."
