But since I don't actually know whom it's directed against (I know, sucker rule, but I doubt it in this case), I'm going to have to say "no."

Possibly one who has been here before?

I thought I saw a writing style that may have looker familiar that's all. It happens sometimes.

I was curious if I was reading more into some recent posts by a new member. There seemed to be posts that were meant to generate comments on superstitions the poster holds and then, surprise, he posts an incredible win. It just seems that there have been people like this on this forum in the past.

Maybe you and I are just too skeptical. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Not always.
Any halfwit with a cell phone could snap a picture of someone else's win.
Take anything you read online with a grain of skepticism.
edit: nevermind, went back and read some threads from last night.
Quote: NickyDimI wish I joined much sooner because I'm lost in this thread. I run a message board for hockey for years (no action during the off season plus there is a lockout, so I'm here for my other love), and it's a constant battle keeping the banned from re-appearing.

Honestly, I'm an old-timer here, and I have no idea what they are talking about.
I'm not happy with hockey...
I think the idea of someone who spends a couple bucks on a book is going to be able to beat anything in the casino is pretty much ridiculous.
Those who sell books based on this premise are sort of a novelty type of author.
I don't think any of them make all that much money, anyway. I always imagine writing a book about how to do something you failed at and became broke as the primary motivator for many of these authors.
That being said, any sport where you trip another guy from behind sucks. If I want to see a fight, I wanna see professional boxers, not brawlers. Seen my fill of them in bars
Now that I have your attention ( put down the gun, Face ) Here is my suggestion for hockey. Take one guy one each team and label him a SCORER. He is never allowed to go one his teams side of the ice. Now you always have a power play. If you trip somebody
or smack them, now that team has a double ( ? ) power play.
Get back to skating and leave that other bullshit for professional wrestling.
If Mission 146 is a hockey fan, I am in big trouble.

One interesting thing about that photo is that the player hand that is visible is the right hand, so if the player took that picture they either have an incredibly long left arm and are very flexible, or someone other than the player took the pic.
This of course proves nothing either, just an observation.
Quote: odiousgambitI guess we can openly speculate now whether the OP was thinking of ZackG23, who just got banned for life?
ZachG23 didn't exist when the OP was made, ZachG23 was Gambit55's ban circumventing sock puppet. I believe Gambit55 is the user that was being referred to in the OP.
When I first read a sports report about the Nordiques, I pronounced the name "nor-dih-cues."
Okay, I was 42 years younger then....
Quote: timberjimYes, it was Gambit55 (ZachG23) I was referring to. Glad he is gone.

I'm an Islanders fan (ok enough laughing) and soon you'll pronounce them Nordiques when they move to Quebec in 2016. For a while it was rumored they'd move to Vegas, which would've been great for me as I'm heading out there for good.
