Well I know the Marketing department's main job is
to spew hype, but doesn 't this sound a little over the top ?

It's from their website and an e-mail that I got:

General Public:

Members of the general public aged 21 and up may
line up on Prospect Avenue starting at 11 a.m. on May 14.
These guests will be admitted behind the 1,500 Priority
Access Wristband Winners.

< note: it opens at 9:30 pm that night ! >

I'll check it out eventually. My understanding is that
TR credits will be valid there.

I have absolutely no doubt that those people will be there, lined up, ready to go when it opens. Furthermore,
I think it will exceed all projections in the first month. The appetite for gambling in Cleveland is enormous.

P.S. Great new sig!

I think its safe to assume marketing is over hypn the situation. I personaly would never go to place where I had to wait in line. Plenty of other places to go.

I'm sure that marketing isn't under-hyping the situation. But, what other places? Erie, Pittsburgh, and Wheeling are the closest casino towns, and they're all 2 hours away by car.

You may not, but there will be a line forming at 11am, guaranteed.

Yes, Total Reward credits will be valid there. For all intensive purposes, it is a Caesars property, with Horseshoe amenities (meaning they will write comps, instead of requiring you to use RCs.) Whether it lives up to the Horseshoe name is to be determined... heck, they aren't even 100% sure they have the license yet.

But if it opens on May 14 (a 95% possibility), there will be a line to get in.

Given the parking situation the lines may not last long. The question remains can they keep you safe getting to and from your car. No mention of Valet parking has been made yet. But I assume they will have it for Diamond and 7 stars

I stand corrected I assumed it was like the area I live in, Trible casinos everywhere as well as card rooms on every corner. Perhaps I would stand in line at that location.

That is the casino that just recently gave a party to every cab driver in town. Laid down the law as far as clean taxis, shirts, ties, locations for drop offs, etc.

The casino opens this Monday. The local newspaper released a walkthrough vid. I must admit it looks impressive. Once again, this is a TEMPORARY casino that is in an old department store while the new one is being built.

When Rivers opened in Chicago, they put out a press release telling people not to come to the casino that day or even weekend because it was too crowded.

I think it's the right amount of hype...
