according to this article, at least 2 of the 3 megamillions winners can remain anonymous.

It's not know if the identity of that person will ever be known, as Maryland Lottery Director Stephen Martino noted that the state does not require its jackpot recipients to do publicity, as some other states do.

Winners can also remain anonymous in Kansas, that state's lottery director Dennis Wilson said.

i wonder which others?

this is how it should be everywhere.
why should the winner have to be turned into an involuntary whore for the lottery ads?

i thought the reason to release the winners name is to prove that noone working at the state lottery office or their relatives won.

Also to prevent stuff like this, a guy who tried to take all of a group pool by not telling anyone he won. Jury ruled against him.

Mexico has two national lottery agencies. Loteria Nacional, the older, doesn't suually publicize the winners, beyond stating where in Mexico a wining ticket was sold. Pronosticos Deportivos, which handless the lotto-type lotteries and sports-based lotteries and some sports bets, did use to run photos of the big winners holding outsize checks.

They stopped doing so in the 90s. Whether they decided to stop, or simply winners no longer want the publicity is not clear. You could always opt out from the beginning, though.

Assuming that I didn't misinterpret your post, you can click on "Reply", then at the bottom right of the page click on "Click here for formatting codes". There's a lot of good info there from JB.

Specifically for posting a link, suppose you wanted to post a link to the Google page that would activate when someone clicked on the words "Google is here". In your reply you would type:

[link=http://www.Google.com]Google is here.[/link]

(Note: I had to type some extra formatting codes to make that line look right.)

When you post your reply, it will look like this:

Google is here.

If you really want, you can click there and go to Google.

If someone is not smart enough to not participate in a lottery pool where the tickets are set aside in someway before the drawing, they all deserve lose their share.
