Harrah’s New Orleans is rebranding Caesars New Orleans.

Interesting. The Harrah's New Orleans web site doesn't seem to have any info about this. Of course, the web site might not be reliable at all -- if you go to the bottom of that page (in the footer, underneath the words "Harrah's New Orleans") and click on Property Map, it takes you to a map of Harrah's Gulf Coast, which is in Biloxi, MS.

Does your source of this info have anything further, such as speculation as to when the change will take place and when new chips might be available? (Gotta decide whether and when to add it to my list of chips I might get.)

Here's a chip from my 2003 trip to Harrah's New Orleans with then-girlfriend Mrs. smooth, as a reminder that I got a blackjack. This casino was the first we'd encountered where our ID was checked upon entry. Toto, we're not in Reno anymore!

State: Louisiana
City: New Orleans
Casino: Harrah's

State: Nevada
City: Las Vegas
Casino: Paris Las Vegas

I just noticed that my chip from Paris Las Vegas differs from the "official" CCotD chip.

I've sold or given away nearly all of my collectibles that I bought from eBay or estate sales because they're not "real" things that my parents or I collected. And they therefore contribute to "false memories." Am I nuts?

However, I've decided to keep this chip that I bought on eBay because I did visit Paris in April 2000, just a few months after this chip was claimed to have been collected. I'm going to remove it from its plastic and "make it my own."

You should see if it’s worth anything in its uncirculated condition first.

Looks like $5-$10 including shipping on eBay for circulated chips. Would uncirculated be significantly more?

The bigger question is why are Paris Las Vegas jetons selling for hundreds of dollars — aside from apparent rarity?

The Paris jetons if I’m remembering correctly weren’t used for very long so they would be rare.

As far as your uncirculated chip I honestly don’t know. Before you take it out of the package I would go to http://www.thechipboard.com/ and post the question of what your chip is worth.

I forgot to post I collected Strat, Sahara, Oyo and Circa a couple of weeks ago. I again have a complete Nevada collection until resorts world and Mohegan open up.

I'm so jealous! It's been years since I last had NV locked down. Now I'm missing several rural/northern locations, too. So between limited hours and out-of-the-way locations it'd take more than one trip to close it back out.
