I almost made a boo boo. I made my chip collecting route through Southern California but forgot to include the newly opened Hollywood Casino in Jamul. Luckily I caught my mistake and added to the list. Glad I realized this before the trip actually happens.

Noticed this Rivers NY chip on Ebay, pretty cool setup.

Today's chip of the day (or chip of every couple of days hehe Doc) is from the Wynn in Macau, Macau. I didn't play poker here because we had a dinner reservation to make and still had to visit MGM before cabbing to the restaurant. Eric played about 30 minutes of poker (he prefers to collect his chips playing poker and actually keeps his chips he collects playing poker separate from ones he doesn't) while I messed around on sides. I didn't see any point in sitting at a poker game for 30 minutes. I really wish I hadn't lost my paper with my win/losses but I remember this was one of my bigger losses of the trip. I think it was in the range of $800-$1000 HKD on mostly roulette outsides. As far as the casino it was beautiful as you would expect from a Wynn property. I would say that Wynn has the two nicest properties in Macau.

The chip is one of my favorites from my Asia trip. Wynn chips seem to be pretty simple but very classy at the same time. The chip is teal with 6 white edge inserts. The centre inlay is white with the Wynn logo, casino name and denomination all in teal. Both sides of the chip are the same.

No, you did just fine this time. The post came after midnight by my clock, but you hit the mark by Las Vegas time.

Today's chip of the day is from Galaxy President Casino in Macau, Macau. The casino opened on April 29, 2006 and is owned by Galaxy Entertainment Group. We played one hand of baccarat and won $200 HKD minus our souvenirs. This was our last stop of our first night of collecting and we stopped at the restaurant/cafe to have some food before going back to the hotel. I had a giant bowl of brisket soup that while salty was quite good and only $4 Canadian.

I collected both a $5 and $10 chip here. The $5 chip is a darker lime green with red hot stamp on it. The hot stamp is a red circle (not centered properly) with the casino name in English and Chinese and the denomination inside of the circle. The $10 chip is the same style most likely by BG that I have posted a few times recently. The chip is sandy brown with a white centre inlay. The galaxy logo and the denomination of the chip is in gold. The name and Chinese lettering are both in black. I just noticed this is definitely a BG chip as the mark is on the inlay.

Just curious (in my nerdy way) about the proper name of the casino. The green chip just says "President Casino" while the brown chip says "President Casino" at the bottom and "Galaxy" at the top. I found the Galaxy Entertainment web page that lists three casinos, with this one just being called "President Casino".

How should this one be listed in the thread directory? For now, I have included the "Galaxy", but I can delete that (and put the link in a different order) if that would be more appropriate.

BTW, Konbu referred to the place as "Casino President" a few posts above, and the MoGH chip guide uses the name "Casino Galaxy President." I think we have plenty of options to choose from.
