I arrived at 11:30 and played $5 min. craps at the only table they had open.

I think you got lucky. I looked in vain for a $5 table n my last full day, arriving at 11 am. it was $10 at the sole open craps table.

"The Palm Beach Kennel Club. 60 Hot Poker Tables, 185 Exciting Simulcast Races, 133 Thrilling Live Races, 2 Fabulous Restaurants, ONLY 1 PLACE."

I've been playing here for 5 years now, best poker action in south Florida. Dog races and terrible poker players, has the WSOP circuit visit 2 times per year. Not much else to say other than this picture is from a frame of 99 chips so it's not the best quality. Also all the chips here seem to be dirty so this is a better one I found.

On a side note, thread resurrection! I have a ton of Florida chips (mainly poker rooms) not posted so I'll contribute, along with some cruise chips and possibly some Denver-area chips in a few weeks. My iPhone pics aren't great so bear with me.

Awesome! Good to see the thread resurrected. What do you think about the poker players in FL in general? Are the games at tracks generally weak?

Thanks, wezvidz, for this contribution and those to follow. I will update the index when I get home from Niagara Falls and can post from a real computer.

I have added five new chips to my collection thus far on this trip, and I expect to get two more before I make it home. I'll be posting them soon.

RDW, whatever happened to the chips you were going to pick up on your WOV Spring Fling trip?

Another one close to my home area, and who knows how long it will exist. 5 years ago or so, the "Princess" casino cruise operated out of the port of Palm Beach before going out of business. This is a new casino cruise that opened in March 2014 and this is my rundown straight from the Yelp review I made:

"Went on a Saturday night cruise, booked online for $10 boarding and $15 buffet. Boarding was quick and seamless, through a metal detector and on.

Setup - First floor had 2 $10 craps tables going, lots of slots and blackjack. Also 3 card poker and roulette. All non smoking on first floor where the buffet is also located. Second floor is smoking, has the mini sports book, another craps table and the best video poker I could find. Third floor has outdoor deck to hang out, large lounge and the "poker room" awkwardly smashed up against the dancefloor of the lounge. 3 poker tables, 1 was going all night with 1/2$ no limit cash games.

Gaming - Craps were packed all night on all tables, 3/4/5x odds, $10 min. Dealers were hit or miss, one kept making mistakes and I had to watch my payouts like a hawk. Best video poker I could find were 2nd floor upright machines. 9/5 Double Double Bonus and 7/5 Bonus Poker. Not great

Overall, had a good time, but their A/C was not working properly and it was SWELTERING all night inside the entire casino. Very uncomfortable, I imagine I just got unlucky. The 6 hour night cruise was a little long for my taste, in the future I would opt for the 5 hour weeknight/daytime cruise."

From what I read, it's probably one of the softest markets in the country, along with LA.

I have a couple new chips from the vegas area (but not from any previously un-covered casinos), but I wound up not making any sidetrips at all. I think I still have a couple uniquely styled chips from the midwest as well. But all my chips are in a box in Philly and I'm in Columbia. I'll be reunited with my possessions on the 17th, and may be in a position to post those few chips by the 21st if needed.

Welcome to the South! Maybe we should schedule a WoV regional meet at Harrah's Cherokee. RaleighCraps is there now, and perhaps others would be willing to come in for a gathering.

The big problem would likely be that the casino hotel offers essentially NO rooms to mortals on the weekends. My wife and I either go midweek, make it a long day trip, or book a room at a near-by hotel.

I would actually be kind of up for that. It's one of the few Caesars casinos I haven't visited yet, and they are still offering me free rooms at any time.

I think a regional meet sounds like fun. I wish I could have made it to NY this weekend. By the time I knew what city I'd need to travel from, ticket prices had skyrocketed. That system really frustrates me. The seatmaps suggest that a few of the options that I looked at involved half-full planes. I'd like to think that would mean that the next ticket sold, especially only 1 or 2 days in advance, would be priced pretty close to the marginal cost of accommodating one more customer. But, WOW, was that ever not the case.
