Mid Life Crisis?

Picked up the 2009 Harley Road King today. I'm buying it with
my brother who's on the road all week and is only home on Fri
and Sat. What a monster bike, its exactly what the cops ride,
Road Kings. If you've never ridden a Harley, there's nothing
else like it. The power and comfort of the ride is legendary.

I have three Studebakers :)

That's not a mid-life, you're just enjoying yourself. Gratz, by the way. And good luck...it gets worse and worse for riders every year, too many clowns not paying attention. Keep your head up.
My Pops bought a fire orange and neon green GSXR 750 after getting tired of us kids dusting him on his Harley SuperGlide. He immediately went about doing wheelies and racing us 160mph down the highways. He was 54yrs old at the time. THAT is a mid-life ;)

A great choice. My golfing buddy has his rigged to carry his clubs. You should see the looks he gets. You will not appreciate why it is called Road King until you are on the interstate and hit about 75MPH and it just seems to begin to glide down the road with no effort at all.

Given the choice, I'd take a Studebaker. A Champion or President or maybe even a Hawk would be nice, but I'd probably prefer an Avanti.
Bob, this is not at all a criticism of your Harley or your choice of a two-wheeler -- just pointing out that "cooler" is a bit like "beauty", being in the eye of the beholder.
And congrats on getting the bike.

The local dept gets new bikes every year. They
can get top dollar for low mileage year old Harley's
and they sell them, sometimes to the cops who ride
them.
