I think highly of the WoV community. You guys are all very intelligent.
Here is my request for advice.
If I post my commercials for your view, will you all give me constructive criticism about my commercials? I think that this will be a very effective (and inexpensive) way of doing market research.
Also, the second goal, is that I need creative help. Will you guys also help me collectively create some ads? 100 brains are sometimes better than one brain, especially since I am not an ad guy. FYI, I am a lawyer who advertises on TV in a top 50 market. A community created ad might be really effective because it addresses (and catches) what people want or need.
I always think twice about coming out on any forum, because crazy stuff can always come back. But I'm willing to take a chance. Is this a good idea to do on a public forum?

Guys here are good with honest feedback, but it's the internet. You'd do well to take some care and not post phone number / email in said commercial.

Not possible, Face. The phone number is an integral part of my ads. My name, face, and phone numbers are all over the commercials.
It's very hard to creative an effective attorney commercial because there are so many already. I wonder how effective this would be.

It might be a really good idea or a really bad idea.
I'm racking my brain trying to come up with my next commercials.
Let's see what the members say.

As long as you're not using wacky and waving inflatable arm flailing tube men, you should be good.
Stick with facts, appeal to people's emotions by using facts. That's the best thing an attorney can do in a commercial. Be personable, not fake.

You can take requests by PM and set up a Youtube page or some other site with the videos.
What's the fee? :)

Do it, what do you have to lose. Getting free ideas
is always worth it. Just don't be thin skinned about
the results. If it looks amateurish, we'll say so. If
the production values aren't up to par, you'll hear
about it.

If you go ahead, just keep in mind what happened to the Wiz when he posted his videos recently.Quote: klimate10If I post my commercials for your view, will you all give me constructive criticism about my commercials?
Many of us gave him critique and criticism, but I think it overwhelmed him to the point where he thought we were bashing the result.
While it WAS bashing, it was meant in a positive way.
If you can handle that type of response, I'd say, go for it.

Do you have an example of the ad created? It would be interesting to see the final product.
