I have to admit, there are times I would like to refer to a laminated card at live BJ tables. More important however, is that I want them for my girlfriend so she'll be more at ease on her first trip to LV next month.
I know you can get the cards all over town but I want a set of cards, tailored to the various rule variations. Also, I'd like ones that show strategy variations based on (HiLo) card counts. I could photocopy them from a book but I am wondering where I might be able to buy a set, already in color and laminated.
Any ides? I thought the Wizard sold them online.
No luck on the website of the Gambler's General Store on S. Main St. Btw, if you go to LV and have never gone to the store, it is worth a trip, especially if you like gambling books or you want to decorate your rec room!

I doubt that you'll find them. They are relatively cheap, but, unless you're buying a bunch, or something with it, the shipping makes it not worth it, so the online stores aren't likely to sell it.
And multiple rules? That will probably be harder to find.
Strategy based on count as well as rules? It will be hard enough to find it online, let alone printed cards.
Do what I do:
Find the strategy online, then create the matrix in Excel. That way you can use codes and colors that make sense.
For example, I don't know whoever first decided it, but "P" for split? Doesn't "/" or even "÷" make more sense?
Red for hit and green for stand? Isn't that backwards?
I'll also use light green with an asterisk to mean surrender if allowed, otherwise hit. That sort of thing that makes it real easy for me.
You're not gonna be able to get it that way unless you do them yourself.

Good idea and I agree with you on the illogical colors and letters used on most cards. I'll start my excel file tonight. Thanks

I use the same color and lettering as used in Playing Blackjack as a Business. That was the book that inspired me to count cards, so I've always used it as my basis out of respect. I think the reason they use a P for split is because stand and split both start with an S. Revere probably let the S stand for stand because it is the more common play. He reverted to the second letter in split for splitting.
One of these days I hope to get rid of all the GIF charts, and have an automated strategy engine, where the user puts in the rules, and it creates a strategy on the fly. At that time, I'll rethink the coloring and lettering.
About buying a chart, lots of the gift shops in Vegas sell them. You can also make your own and then go to a copy shop to have it laminated. They sell them here,' rel='nofollow' target='_blank'>http://store.fastcommerce.com/GamblingCatalog/strategy-cards-ff808081175e96dc01176b47837f4fb8-c.html]here, but the price may be prohibitive.

Relatively few casinos hit a soft 17 anymore, unless it is a high limit game or is combined with a bunch of rules that hurt the player. Look at the survey blackjack survey for vegas . Unless you are seeking them out the single deck games are hard to find.

The wizard has .gif files all over his site, just print them out and cut them out. You can get them laminated or you can just print multiple copies so they are easily replaced. That way you can give them away to cute girls.
