That's me! I'm looking forward to it, Mrs Mosca will accompany us. Maybe my dad, I don't know; he just finished a week long duplicate bridge tournament, he might be pooped. At 83 yrs old he still plays and teaches, he's a gold life master, but it wears him down, all those hours.

'twas fun, I didn't get there until 6:30 (putting out a fire at work), then we met up, played some PaiGow poker until about 8... I lost $17 betting $40s (table min was $25), I'll let RaleighCraps tell his side. I made a couple questionable splits, but it's the first time I ever played the game in anger. It only cost me one win, the others would have split no matter what I did. We didn't get to play any craps, the tables were jammed when I showed up. Mohegan has 4 or 5 tables, but only 3 were operating; they haven't been able to hold enough people to staff more tables, or so I'm led to understand. I do know one guy who works as a banker there, he was recruited out of Puerto Rico. So they're trying.
After dinner, Mrs and I went out and played some more, I wound up experiencing positive variance and finished the night up $759, a combination of slots, Let it Ride, more PaiGow, and some blackjack, nothing really killed but I just kept getting ahead and cashing out, changing games. Not that that means anything, but I got some variety and good cards/wheels.
RC, I enjoyed playing alongside you immensely. We have the same attitude and style, it makes the game fun.

I concur, 'twas fun.
No need to cry for Mohegan Sun with Mosca's $759 win. I donated more than enough to cover. You were lucky you did not find any craps space.
I lost most of my mediocre BR waiting for Mosca to get there, on a craps table that was severely choppy. Rights and Wrongs were both losing, AGAIN.
I reloaded and Mosca and I went to play Pai Gow. I have never seen a run of cards so bad. I played mostly $40/hand and only got paid twice. I had one straight, with 2 junk cards for the low hand. I had 2 pr 3x I think, and every time they were low and low (6/3 , 2/8 , 3/7). Twice my high hand was a pair of deuces. Complete definition of ugly. I dropped $300.
I was driving the 520 miles back to Raleigh that night, but couldn't resist one last crack at the craps. Played for about an hour holding even. Had some great chances for the big run. I loaded the bases with Come bets, but alas the 7 out ended that roll with me breaking even. Finally decided to go for it and upped my passline bet with max odds, and placed $135 across. 7 Out. Tried it next shooter, got paid once, 7 out. Left down even more. I also had my Come bets working on the Come out roll 3x. I lost the first one to 7 winner. The 2nd time I was on the 10, and the shooter rolled the 10 coming out, so I got paid! The 3rd time, I had 2 come bets up, and come out 7 winner cost me 2 sets of odds. :-( This strategy has been very successful for me in the past, but 3 out of 4 odds bets lost was not good this time. Lots of Negative variance for me, but I wasn't done yet.
Left about 10:00 PM and like an idiot decided to take the faster route (by 20 min. according to Garmin) around Washington, DC. Getting there around 12:00 AM on Sunday morning, how bad could it be? BAD!!! Beltway had 5 lanes squeezed into 1 for bridge work, so add a 45 minute delay on a trip that was supposed to be 8 hours anyway.
It was fun meeting Mosca and getting a chance to put a person to the posts here. I will look you up next time I head up there in July.
The Mohegan Sun is the nicest of the 3 PA casinos I have visited (Mohegan Sun, Mount Airy, and Hollywood). The casino is round and appears to be split in two halves, one smoking, one non smoking. Both sections have slots and the same selection of table games. As Mosca indicated, only 1 non smoking craps table was open, compared to both in the smoking section. The smoke was not over bearing. Mohegan also has a very nice selection of places to eat.
The CW came by while I was playing craps and I ordered a Corona expecting I would have to pay. She asked my how much I was betting. I was caught off-guard and replied $20-$25 (it was more like $60 with the place bets, not counting odds). No charge for the beers. That alone puts them ahead of the other 2 PA places.
