This guy does nothing for 4 months after barely winning the election and this is the best he can come up with. How bout the unemployment? How bout housing? No instead lets get rid of prostitution. What's next? Lets get rid of gambling.

Well, didn't Pelosi say unemployment benefits are the best kind of government stimulus? Then surely adding prostitutes and whatever ancillary personnel worked on brothels to the rolls of the unemployed provides further opportunities to stimulate the economy!

It suddenly occurred to me that, with the increased competition from new casinos in other states, what Las Vegas needs to regain it's market share, is to make prostitution legal in Clark County - exactly the opposite of what Senator Reid wants to do!

Thanks DJ. I tried to put in the link and screwed up once again.
Washoe county also needs to legalilze it. It already is rampant in both counties so why not control it and profit from it. My biggest beef however is why is Reid even getting himself involved with this. I would have thought he would have learned his lesson when he nearly didn't get re elected. But know he continues to talk, talk, talk, and get nothing done.

In general, I think it's a bad idea to let Mormons legislate morality. Sharron Angle would have been a horrible choice to represent Nevada in the US Senate but at the same time, she would have been High Larry Us. At least Reid helped get City Center finished.

I shouldn't worry. Its been illegal in Las Vegas for decades ... and that doesn't seem to have phased in the slightest any of those myriad girls who are not from an agency.

So maybe my typo of phased instead of fazed was appropriate for a 71 year old?
I hear the Flaming O/Pink Chicken is well known for having a bit of a gauntlet for unescorted males to navigate.
This was a politician spouting off in order to achieve headlines. I don't think it was anything else.

Well, I sure don' t look like money either, but that doesn't seem to hinder them one bit.
In Biloxi, my companion and I parted ways outside the ladies room and I was continuing along the corridor to the mens room and I did not make it more than two yards before some young girl pounced. Did she really think a brief conversation and her kiss on the cheek was going to get her something? It didn't get her any business, any wallets or any chips!
In Vegas they are so plentiful on the strip.
