Yours truly has the W vs both Wizard and AZDuffman [just played the latter]

WoO and Duffman need not play I think

No, it is not for cash or any prize except pride.

That is why I found it odd that 'EvenBob' refuses to play. His claim is that people use cheating systems for online play, thus he only plays live. However, there is no incentive for people to cheat (this is supposed to be a fun game and there is nothing of value to the winner)... and if a person was cheated, the person has no penalty or anything to lose for losing the match.

What kind of a gambling site is this? We have a contest with multiple players, a horse race as it were, and there are no odds posted, nor any hints of wagering?

Not only that, the participants in the tourney are only playing for "pride".

The players in this tournament are spread across thousands of miles. To organize it where we play live is not logical. Therefore, we play on websites such as Yahoo! Games.

It is very possible to cheat on online websites. There are programs that can be used to gain advantages, etc. AI players, etc.

To to detour cheating, there is not gambling involved. This for people that enjoy playing the game of chess. It is a fun little tournament... don't think too much into it.

I can't get my match with nightstalker in before 2/1. I'm also terrible at chess. I'll just concede the match.

Night Stalker and I are still trying to set up a match.

Ok fine. What is your point? I would like to know why that would have you boycott this WoV tournament?

The worst thing that could happen from a person using computer program to play, is that the person would beat you.

This tournament that has zero entry fee and zero prizes.

So worst case, you play an individual that cheated, and you lost a match... and if you did not enjoy the game, the time that you spent playing it. That is it
