as of this point i would shut down all user sign ups and traverse through all recent posts that may contain characters other than ones that are allowed

I just went to my IPad and got another redirect to porn. Neither my windows or Apple delivered a warning.

Does that mean it�s at the server level whatever this site is hosted at?

they manage their own ads i think so yes i would assume someone has injected some kind of code into a post somewhere IMO

a post that has code in it but we as users cant see it but still renders code

its calls cross site scripting or XSS

There was a pop up re-direct

that was making the rounds in the mid 2010s. I ran software like malwarebytes, Avast, the admin for sites I was visiting examined every file never could find the cause. Then, as mysteriously as the viral phenomenon appeared, it faded.

It was actually a mixture, was mostly straight sex with some gay thrown in. You got the same page I did cookies do not determine that.

Thought it was a one-time thing but got redirected again. I assume this thing, if automated was set to trigger on a weekend because of less chance of working personnel on hand to address it.

I just got the "risky" website warning. I closed that window, tried again, and it was the WoV as usual.

The big boss is aware of the problem. He has very good technical people on the payroll. My advice is don't panic. If you get anything strange when you try to load the site, close that window and try again. At least that is my advice for those accessing the site by personal computer.

I can see where you need a rule if somebody is seriously accusing somebody else of being gay, but if you're doing it to each other joking around that's totally different. Has this place really gotten that strict that moderators want to suspend some of the most prolific posters for joking around with each other?
