Why would you care?

If you do care, why is it so important to you that other people are made to be unhappy or rejected?

I really hope to wind up an old man, sitting in front of the TV or radio, stewing about how people who are different from me aren't getting kicked in the teeth enough. That's how you know you've had a happy life and are making the most of your time and your mind.

Man, fewer gay gets are thrown on the streets by their parents. I'm going to spend the day being angry about it. My life is awesome.

You know, I halfway agree with the overall thrust of the original post, "gayness" being generally overestimated in terms of numbers and all that. And nothing annoys me more than the moral certitude of a show like "My Name is Jazz."

But let's be real about referring to somebody as "degenerative." As in "characterized by progressive, often irreversible, deterioration." Or as in "tending to decline and deterioration." What does gayness or lack thereof have to do with "degenerativeness?" There's as much reason to refer to anybody who voted for Trump as "degenerative" as there is to refer to gayness as "degenerative."

This is closer to the figures I encountered in Europe.

So because I drove a race car
once, I'm now a race car driver
in the stats? Really? That's not
quite how it's done.

2% for decades.

It comes down to the individual and whether they operate out of fear or out of love? Far too many posters here operate out of fear. Sad thing is they aren't even aware of it. It's their nature.

An estimated 19 million Americans (8.2%) report that they have engaged in same-sex sexual behavior and nearly 25.6 million Americans (11%) acknowledge at least some same-sex sexual attraction.

I met several homosexuals (m/f) who did not identify as Ďregularí L,G or B. They often donít know how to label themselves. The categories seem to fit more our heterosexual mind.
A cousin married a woman, had children. Then she left and lived with a woman. And now she lives alone saying she loves neither men nor women...

This is where the over-reporting of the 10% figure you cited comes from. Surveys written in such a way as to get that kind of response. Then they report "up to 10% of the population is gay." This fits the gay agenda to make it seem more "normal" as at 1-2% many people will not know a gay but at 10% most people will.

I would guess a lot of the 8.2% are women who are either just wild or think they are shall we say, "in style," or "doing the in thing." They could even think that it just attracts men. I'd also suggest that women will easier fall to pressure to "try it."

People think it is higher because of all the characters you keep seeing on tv and movies. Same as so many people overestimate the Black population by a large margin.

Who was this directed at? I've always
found it odd that so many Gay men
must announce their Gayness to the
world. Non Gay's don't do that. The
only reason would be, they're starved
for all the negative attention they know
they'll get from many people.

They crave it, they live for it. A just and
non critical world is the last thing they
want, it would mean they aren't 'special'
any longer. They're just boring run of
the mill people who have sex once in
awhile, like everybody else. Yawn.

So many of the Gay men I knew in
Calif, their entire lives revolved around
being Gay. They were obsessed with it,
drowning in it. Imagine a straight guy
doing that with women. They're around,
and we have lots of names for them. And
not a whole lot of respect, they've been
mocked and derided in movies and
TV forever.

If you go crazy for sex as a Gay or a straight,
society usually judges you rather harshly.

In my taxi for years I asked Black
people what % of the pop was Black.
Not one of them was even in the
ballpark. Most of them said between
40-50%, some as low as 25%. The
right answer was about 12%. It's
because all they saw where they
lived was other Black people. Same
with Gays, they see so many other
Gays they think the world is overrun
with them. 2% is hardly a blip on
the map.

It doesnít happen as often nowadays but people often assumed I was religious or believed in god. Because that is often an assumed default condition. Extrapolate, why donít you.

I dont know about all that.

I would like to know if they have to practice their gay accent, movements and style all the time and constantly be in character, or if it just takes over and becomes natural?
