Shout Out to the Wizard
In short for my one year move anniversary I just want to thank Mike from the bottom of my heart for being such a great guy. I also want to thank all the great friends I have been able to make because of him. Thank you guys(AssholeWolf, RS, MaxPen, DjATC, and some others but I don't know their screen names on WOV) for being such a welcoming bunch, I can honestly say I feel more at home with you guys than with my real family.
Thanks guys and look forward to another great year here in Vegas.

As a total unknown on this forum with almost zero posts, I took a shot in the dark and sent the Wizard a PM. I cannot imagine a kinder and more welcoming human, as a total unknown random he invited me to go on hikes & other activities. I have been able to meet some great people that I love hanging out and spending time with. It was all because of Wizards willingness to take time out of his own life to make me feel welcome here in Vegas.

Or better yet should I have been insulted by AMS’s post earlier today that stated all Republicans were either Racist, Rich or Religious? I’m not Rich or Religious, but I am a Republican, so is AMS saying I’m racist?

Personal insults require a person to be named.
If you say short fat people are obnoxious well I am short and overweight and probably will feel offended, but thats not an insult you directed at me personally.

I disagree, if I say anyone who ever rides a bus is obviously a child molester, I think you would be offended and know it was intended toward you. And rightfully so.
Obviously I don’t think that and I hope it isn’t taken that way. But my point is there are ways of insulting other members that may within the rules but are obviously personal insults.

To be fair you have a point.
In the recent thread about the card counting doc Inside the Edge I got excoriated when Axel made a comment about APs going in disguise to casinos. There was similar wording to attacks on my mask wearing and I did respond as if it was directed towards me.
Nonetheless when I insult Republicans please take it as. a whole and not directed to you personally
For the record, I did not want Bob suspended, I didnt ask for that, I didn't even think it was possible. It was clearly a joke all around. I didn't take his comment as an insult whatsoever. I took his comment as him showing how if someone says something like that, they will be labeled by some people as a racists even when its a innocent joke. I am certain that's what Bob was doing, and he was joking with his comment. As to why I put a smiley face after what I said. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding and someone thought I took it as an insult(I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT!!). I ask that you reconsider the 3 day suspension since the intent was obviously not to call me a racist, but to show how that comment could be labeled as racist by some snowflakes. BBB, under normal circumstances I think a suspension is the right call if someone is calling people racists. But, not in a situation where I think it's clearly banter and trying to make a point. Let's not let this be another "did you beat your wife lately" situation.
