Mine is Caribbean Stud Poker, although I don't put the dollar in for the Royal Flush jackpot. In decades of player real poker I've gotten two royal flushes and am not going to try for one at a dollar a shot. On one occasion I was dealt quads, but of course I didn't have my buck in.
I, alas, didn't see Caribbean Stud Poker anywhere. I also like the game and can (at least) hold my own on it. It's certainly not for everyone but, once you can shrug off a monster hand only paying you your ante, there's fun to be had.
1. Pai-gow Poker (but its getting harder to find)
2. High Card Flush
3. Ultimate Texas Hold'em
4. Miss Stud
3 of 4 were not in this poll.

Ultimate Texas Hold'em is a choice, but I was curious about what others didn't leap to mind when I started this thread.
I think that Caribbean Stud Poker was retired. I haven't seen it in a long time. It lasted for a bit but a lot of carnival games have a short life span. They go out there and if they don't pay off quickly they get yanked in favor of something else.

Is PGP considered a carnival game?
I sat with my uncle one time to play Caribbean Stud. I hated it. Every time I had a good hand, the dealer didn't qualify.
I played Let It Ride the first time I ever went to the casino....found out why they call it Let it Die.
I love Spanish 21...except for the fact every time the dealer shows 6, dealer will immediately flip over a 5.
I'm intrigued by Mississippi Stud. Haven't played it for money. I usually like to save my bankroll for Craps.
My casino doesn't have Ultimate Texas Hold'em, so I've never done any research on it.
They had Four Card Poker...but I think they killed it off.
Quote: AyecarumbaFiesta (aka, "The Reserve") used to have a game where you threw a bunch of dice (maybe 6?). I wonder what happened to it?
I was told the casino pulled it as it made them no money. I played it once, didn't get the hang of it, saw I was up $20 and bailed.
Harrahs, going back twenty years , had a game that combined BJ with three card poker and a third game. I played it a lot because the regular dealer on the 2-10 shift stole a piece of my heart.
It's a great con because the pistons are to short to move anything far enough to fall. The obvious way to beat the game is to throw your hip into it and knock the money off the ledge but of course that doesn't work since it's weighed down by 1000 pounds and is bolted to the floor. Anyone know it's name?
Quote: LovecompsThere's one other game that I didn't think deserved to be mentioned. It's easily the biggest con in the casino but I don't know it's name but you''ve all seen it. It's a chamber with pistons going to and fro above a tier of quarters on all sides. You drop money into a hoper and hope that it gets tossed in such a way that it knocks money out for you.

They call that a coin-pusher where I come from.
You know it's a total rip-off because it's a game in many states that was allowed while gambling was still illegal. Traveling fairs and skee-ball halls and arcades had them.

I believe that there are zero games of Caribbean Stud in North American (brick and mortar) casinos although it is still offered online and in brick and mortar casinos in other countries in the world (perhaps Great Britain, South America). Can anyone confirm this?

Akwesasne Mohawk Casino in Hogansburg NY still has it. And quite popular....for some reason.

It's 2 1/2 years old but KM's WoV review of the Paris (complete with cute story of the Wizard meeting up and playing Pai Gow with her) lists CSP as one of the table games available.
Edit: saw it at beau rivage this month.
Particularly when I find a dealer who has trouble realizing their own hand contains a flush

I've also heard it called a coin dozer.
There's a whole community of people that get together and talk about how to beat those "skill" games that you find at arcades and what-not. They hang out in forums and Dave & Busters and trade strategies. I also remember seeing a guy on Youtube whose whole schtick was playing those games, offering strategies, and trying to beat them. It was pretty entertaining, but I forgot the guy's name.

I wonder if that had anything to do with the creation of the Two-Way Bad Beat bonus. Someone at the table will always point out the dealer's flush if they have two-pair or better.
Quote: gordonm888Why is Spanish 21 a "carnival game?" Doesn't that mean BJ is also a carnival game?
Yeah, Spanish 21 certainly straddles the fence between definitions. I would vote "yes" for carnival, however, since it has a pay-table right on the layout which is used for the main game.
Quote: tringlomaneDid Venetian get rid of Caribbean Stud?
I actually played Carribean Stud at the Venetian last March. I am headed out to Vegas in a couple of weeks and will check to see if they have the table.

I think Pai Gow Poker is one of the easiest games to find in the casino. It seems to be everywhere.
