Bed bugs

I finally found a decent place to live or so I thought. The living space was nice and for a good price and was month to month so they took me in no problem. Well it turns out this place is infested with bed bugs. It sure as hell wasnt me that brought them here from the weekly i was previously at for one week when I got back form portugal, because I never got bit there once. I told the lady in charge of the complex right from the beginning(condo not an apartment) that i didnt want their furnished bed and couch and I was going to get rid of it and she said i could do it. This was BEFORE I found out about the bed bugs. Now that I've been bitten 8 times all over my body, I tossed the bed out into the parking lot and now I have to toss out the couch that I tried sleeping on tonight as a last resort because I have nothing else to sleep on. Well it's now 5am and im sitting in my chair with no place to sleep.

To make matters worse, I can't just get out of here after a week like the other places I stayed at. I signed the stupid lease until October 31st. Luckily it's a month to month lease. Now what the fuck am I supposed to do in this infested property with no bed or anything to sleep in? If I buy a bed it will just get infested like the other one. I even tried vaccuming the whole apartment and it did NOTHING. Where am I supposed to sleep now for the next 38 days? I won't even be able to sleep. JUst completely laughable. How the hell can these garbage corporate complexes be legally allowed to sell someone a unit like this? They sure as hell know the unit is infested, but they have no problem collecting rent each month and leasing to someone like it's no problem. Like I said this society is trash and full of unethical and immoral scum. Am I legally allowed to sue the condo in small claims court if they dont take care of this issue and could it void the lease so I can get out of it? I read the whole lease agreement and it didn't mention anything about bed bugs like those weekly places do.

This is completely depressing. This trip to vegas since last May has been an utter disaster. First off, variance hit me hard right as soon as I got here where I go down over 10k on 3 separate occasions only to come back each time and get knocked back down. To make matters worse, I then get bit by a massive spider in my sleep in the first week that swelled up my hand to the size of a baseball and nearly had to go to the ER. Then there's a massive plumbing issue with the neighbor's unit next door where they then had to enter my unit and put a whole in the ceiling in the bathroom to fix the issue. Out of the 500 rooms in the complex, yes I was the ONE that needed to get plumbing work done and have a massive hole put in the ceiling where they didnt even end up patching it up properly and left garbage all over the floor after I went to speculate. Complained to the property manager that this whole thing was a joke and ended up getting moved to another unit. Then i continue losing for another 3 months straight to Chinese preshuffled prison cards. What's my reward for all of this, you might ask? I get to then move into a weekly on boulder highway hell hole next to nellis boulevard where people are getting shot every day and roaches in my room running around. Now i'm in a bed bug infested apartment where im stuck in a lease for another month and bit all over my body bleeding and shit. I honestly cant take this anymore. This has been a complete and utter disgrace and then they say I'm not cursed. How I still have 52k and keep plugging away is mind boggling, but that's why im the best.

you are young and you are impulsive

you need to slow down and consider any major decisions that you make very carefully


suing does not mean that you will win
you might win but the aggravation and the related costs and lost time might make your win meaningless and you might wish you had never initiated litigation


in this situation I would probably look for another place and when I find one tell my current landlord that I will not pay October's rent since the conditions are unsatisfactory and in violation of local codes

if you lose your security deposit just move on. it's not worth the aggravation

Maybe get a sleeping bag and sleep on the ground? Obviously not the most comfortable, but probably beats sleeping in a chair.

And get torn to shreds by these blood sucking bed bugs that are infested deep into the carpet where the vaccum cant even get them? Even if they call an exterminator, nothing will get done. I wont be able to sleep for the next 38 days now. I'm at a loss for words really. As soon as this lease ends in October or maybe sooner if it gets voided out cause I'm gonna complain to the manager like she's never seen before. I'm then just gonna go the roommate route, which to me was the last resort, but I've officially given up on this apartment search. Apartments are not only droned out of their minds and complete idiots for turning me down without a rational explanation, but the ones that accept me are littered and infested with garbage and shady residents in a shady area. As soon as I'm out of this dump, I'm going the roommate route preferably to a good area. This is sadly what it's come down to.

My first condo that I rented when I lived in Vegas had a roommate, he was a crack addict lol. He was a very nice guy and he never did his drugs at home. He would disappear on binges for 2-3 days and then come back. All he asked was that I took care of his almost blind dog while he was on a binge lol. Basically feed her and let her out.

I left after my month was up and found a new place sans crack addict.

How about trying "let me out of my lease today or I report you to the health department, local newspapers and tv stations, Twitter, snapchat, Instagram, etc...."

Good. Very good. We used to have a retired guy from Buffalo,NY who played poker and was allergic (okay, okay: hypersensitive) to bed bugs. He later moved to Florida to play poker but hasn't posted in a while. He created his own website about bedbugs after his Vegas acquisition of quite an infestation. Reviewed a lot of products and notions there.
