I thought it's best to create a new thread for each week. Let the discussion begin.

The slam dunk was named such because of a journalist who compared the maneuver to, “Dunking,” a roll in a cup of coffee.

I'm going to need something stronger than that to drown my sorrows. I'm shown at 12 percent.
Congratulations to BBB at 99 percent.
By the way, I just confessed in a different thread, that my selection of 15-15 as a tie breaker score was simply a shot in the dark since I had absolutely no idea how basketball is scored and did not know that a reasonable score is in the 60 to 80 range. It was not a joke and had nothing to do with tennis or football. I just had no idea what was reasonable with either the scores or the teams.
Fleastiff goes skulking off in search of appropriate beverage but will have to probably settle for opening a can of seltzer water and pretending its a can of beer. (Skulk....skulk..... skulk).

Yeah saw that. Something about eight guys each put in a hundred, ticket paid just over sixteen grand. I had no idea there was that kind of money involved in this basketball stuff.Quote: VegasriderSo there was an UMBC Alum who bet $800 on the ML and netted $16k in Vegas

Most people have no idea about the amounts bet in sports. I have a couple of friends that bet $10k-$20k per game on this.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Well there are people who bet over a million on the SB each year. March Madness in Vegas is actually the busiest time of year for them, not the SB

Uggg, out of my 12 future bets, 10 were selected into the tourney. I only have two that made it to the sweet 16. Clemson at 500:1 & FSU at 150:1. I don't play chalk, every future bet was at least 150:1 when I bet back in Nov/Dec.

Both are still longshots, but at the odds you are getting quite good for you. No team looks unbeatable. I like Villanova. My pre tournament 'longshot' was Kentucky.
