The Wolf and I cannot come to terms as to this, so we request mutual suspension.

I found the above to be objectionable.

As far as I can tell, the MDawg quote is declaring both that there was some form of private communication, as well as the contents thereof ("we request mutual suspension").
Perhaps I shouldn't take MDawg at his word, and this statement is in fact a misattribution of authorship of a very brief piece of speculative fiction? Claiming that the breach of confidence didn't occur, because the other party swears they didn't say that is a bizarre defense, confessing to breaking other rules instead.
Rules 4 and 14 clearly apply here. Trying to argue that one of the rules wasn't violated (on a technicality) doesn't seem to remove the violation of the other rule. Rule 17 is clearly watching from the sidelines, with eager interest.
Rules may be found here.
Quote: Prelude to the RulesThese rules should be considered as a guideline of what we will not tolerate. Just because a behavior is not on this list does not mean it will be tolerated or go unpunished. The administration reserves the right to punish any activity it deems disruptive to the forum, whether against these rules or not.
Quote: MDawgQuote: AxelWolfI presented some evidence and some of my argument to the person in charge of this matter, and they made their decision despite your counterarguments, complaints, and objections.

This clearly refers to what happened last week, during my suspension, and references private conversations.
"I presented" ... "and they made their decision" ... "despite your counterarguments, complaints, and objections."
For you to argue otherwise is demeaning to yourself.

As I have linked above ( https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/off-topic/general/30418-stricklyap-wizardofnothing/14/#post955037 ), the complaints I saw were public, and did not appear to betray any private communications.
There are two separate things going on here.
I am saying that A.Wolf cannot claim that I betrayed the contents of a private message (which is what led you to suspend me), and claim simultaneously that he did not say whatever it is I betrayed.
That is one issue, a sort of appeal of my suspension as having made no sense. (AutomaticMonkey seems to have gotten it, not sure if you did.)
The second thing is that today, A.Wolf stepped in and started referring to private communications that happened after I was suspended.
NO, I did not.Quote: MDawgA.Wolf stepped in and started referring to private communications that happened after I was suspended.

Wow.
Yes, he can.
Are you going to magically feel better of I cross out "Privacy rule" and replace it with "Misquoting"?

If there are such private communications, I am unaware of them, and I see no explicit nor implicit reference to them by AxelWolf.
No one told me MD made counterarguments, complaints, and objections. I was 100% certain he would, and I was 100% certain there was no chance he didn't.Quote: DieterQuote: MDawgI lost you.

Excuse moi for butting in. Which MDawg we talkin here? The father or the son, MDawg or MDawg II? I saw 2 threads here, one about the adventures of the senior and its sequence authored by the junior, MDawg II.
I had the strong impression that the senior, MDawg, had retired from gambling. I saw picks with his piles of $100,000 chips. Since his LV gambling adventure started, he must have won well over 50 million.
Just curious, no offence.
Peace to all!
PS
Anything happened to Norms forum, blackjacktheforum.com? I checked also on the isitdownrightnow.com site and reports that blackjacktheforum is unreachable.

I do not have any information from anyone via private messages/ information that said you made a counterargument, complaint, or objections.

"Nope, I am confidently assuming" is a rather weak attempt to avoid suspension. The Wolf no doubt has powers of clairvoyance.
Only a fool fights in a burning house, so MDawg will leave this matter now for Dieter and A.Wolf both to keep coming up with rationale for inaction.
I never really dealt with Dieter on this matter.Quote: MDawgQuote: AxelWolfNope, I am confidently assuming you made those given my own personal observations of how I believe you react to things, and what you have said in this thread including what you just said previously.Quote: MDawgQuote: AxelWolfto the person in charge

Absolutely no clairvoyance needed, I believe I just simply have a very good read on you. I'm very, very confident in my read.
Perhaps not always though...

Yes, unlike some people, I can give someone credit for certain things, no matter what my personal feelings about them are.Quote: MDawgFrom the first day that you “met” MDawg and failed to recognize an $80,000 platinum day date Rolex for what it was thinking that it was the same as the fake Rolex that you have had in a drawer for years, you have had a completely inaccurate and laughable read.

Sometimes it takes a while to get a read on someone, especially someone you have never met.
The only thing I know to have been verified is that you bet a moderate level for a short period of time and won.
I still do not believe 95% of your claims.

What are you talking about? AxelWolf comes on here routinely claiming that I report him privately to the mods now I am saying the same about him. Is he privy to more info than I am? He already posted that he was going to PM the Wizard, so that cat is already out of the bag.
Is it now against the rules to state that a complaint has been filed against me? Obviously it came from AWolf in that he declared that he was going to PM the Wizard. Plus who else would complain about this matter? Use your head.
As far as the prior times, AxelWolf came in and freely admitted that he made the complaints.
The point is - that it's the guy who complains about such and such who is sometimes the biggest offender.

If you take into account the length of time you've been here, I would say you have complained more than anyone else and have been responsible for more people's suspensions than anyone else. Perhaps someone like Bob has caused more suspensions, but he's been here for a lot longer and was pretty controversial during a time when this forum was thriving.
I have no problem admitting that I will lodge a complaint against YOU any chance I get. I used to spar with Bob frequently, too.
FYI I didn't even contact a Mod or anyone regarding your relaying of private conversations. I simply posted in this thread, "And now you are relaying private conversations."

Sometimes hijacking isn't exactly the right word for it.
It's like the pilot died, the plane is veering and heaving, and a passenger who had some flight lessons once runs to the cockpit and grabs the controls, to see what he can do about it. Yes it's an unauthorized person taking control of the plane, but outside of the spirit of hijacking.
You can predict a rough landing (thread deleted/locked by mods) but everyone will live.

The thread was parked on the tarmac for seven years before someone necromanced it with a tangentially relevant post.
Continuing the metaphor, I don't know if there's enough fuel to get off the ground, but if you want to poke around the galley to scrounge up a few tiny liquor bottles, that might be ok.
Either way, we're not going to Cuba.
