"Lindsey Graham just falsely told a bunch of reporters that Democrats are never subjected to accusations of sexual misconduct, and warned them that if Kavanaugh fails, Republicans will gin up false accusations against future Democratic nominees to even the score. Wow."

The whole thing about her fear of flying is interesting...that was brought forth as a reason she could not get to DC until Thursday, but it turns out that her "fear" can be overcome fairly easily as she has gone lots of places. Perhaps the story about that being the issue was wrong, but a different reason would see to have served her better.
How did she not know that the Senate had offer to send investigators to talk to her in California?
Quote: RonCI know there will be questions about the Republicans use of an outside prosecutor in Dr. Ford's testimony but I am not sure how anything they would do seen as attacking her would help them at all. At this point, it is still he said/she said and it comes down to his rebuttal of her testimony.

Do you have any comment on whether or not she's telling the truth about what she alleges?

If you get to a point in your life where the Senate of the United States is allowing you to testify with regards to the confirmation of a Supreme Court Justice, I'd say that's a pretty good indication that you've got quite a bit of credibility in your back pocket.

Not a good day for Lindsay. He’s grumpy.

I used to like Lindsey Graham. He's been one of the reasonable ones. Not anymore. He debased himself for Trump. Sad.
Both sides are playing politics, that much i'm sure of.
Their entire defense of Kavanaugh seems to be "BUT SHE'S FLOWN IN PLANES BEFORE!"
Kind of entertaining to watch.
But I feel terrible that Dr. Ford is still having to endure this. They've gotten all the relevant info out of her that they're going to get. Now it's just redundant.

I'm curious as to why, with everything else coming out, this is what you choose to focus on?

It’s literally the only thing anybody on the right is focusing on right now.
Illustrates what a sh**show this hearing has been for them.
Quote: billryanI'm curious as to why, with everything else coming out, this is what you choose to focus on?
Because creating conspiracy is on page one of the 2018 GOP playbook.

So people afraid of flying are never allowed to fly?
I don't understand the logic of these people....
But he does it because the reward of the destination experience exceeds the temporary fear, and he hopes the more he does it, the more that fear will ease.
It's just another lousy excuse to discredit a very compelling witness.
If this were a criminal investigation the prosecutors would laugh at the 'evidence' they have. My guess is that Kavanaugh will be a more credible witness, if witness is even the correct word. I can't wait to see it. Booker, Harris and Klobuchar are now crafting their questions while thinking...... "What can I ask Kavanaugh that will help me become President?"

We know that he has NOT been telling the truth about himself. And for a lifetime appointment to the SCOTUS where you are tasked with finding and seeking truth that will affect millions of our lives, that is disqualifying. If you can't tell the truth about your own life, you cannot be allowed to make decisions that will affect mine.
PERIOD.
Preach.
He's basically screaming at the Dems on the committee. Has a court nominee ever made such blatantly partisan attacks?
This man has no place being anywhere near the Supreme Court.
Screaming about the Clintons! lmao

As EB would say, he has hit it out of the park! He has not shied away from just telling it like it is about the pathetic Democrat Senators. ams of course won't like hearing the truth. Just eliminate the word 'partisan' and insert the word 'truthful' from his post and you have an accurate summary. I see no way anyone who did not make up their mind before the hearings could vote against him.

He's too emotional to be on the Supreme Court. Crying like a little bitch.

Truth? Puh-lease.
He has not told the truth about his own life. He has lied to Congress previously. Both are disqualifying for the SCOTUS. If minds were made up before all of this, it was strictly because a republican named Donald Trump nominated him.
That is the definition of party before country.
They're gonna crack him like an egg.
They should all just defer to Kamala Harris so she can really get under his skin.

Political suicide it seems, rather than a defense imo. Kamikaze style

I feel like half the Republicans in Washington have been committing political suicide in the last year or two.
"We live in a country where due process and rule of law is paramount. That is why I'm calling on President Trump to demand a full FBI investigation into Dr. Ford's and other allegations, and for this committee to subpoena all witnesses that could corroborate my innocence."
Ahh, never mind, it didn't come.
If WHAT is the new norm? Investigating sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominees? Why would anyone have a problem with that?
What an idiot.
He said seniors were legally able to drink. He said the drinking age was 18. Maryland changed it from 21 to 18 in July of 1982 for beer and wine (already 21 for hard liquor), the summer before Kavanaugh's senior year. Residents who turned 18 BY JULY OF 1982 were grandfathered in and allowed to drink legally. He was 17 at the time.
Kind of a minute detail, yes. But it's something that he has repeated now on a couple different occasions and it's not truthful.
It's nice to see him standing up to the corruption on the left.
Quote: KeyserWow Kavanaugh is so much more convincing than Ford.
I didn't see any of Ford's testimony, but Kavanaugh acted like he was interviewing for an assistant gym coach position, not a seat on the Supreme Court. Not impressed with him at all.
Quote: TigerWuWhat the f*** is wrong with Lindsey Graham....
Russian kompromat.
Quote: SteverinosHe lied about the drinking age thing and I'm going to be disappointed if a democratic senator does not press him on it.

He did not say he was not drinking underage. He said the 18 year olds were how they got the beer. He admitted to being an underage drinker.

I've been escorting my mom on medical stuff the last couple hours, so have dvr'd the Kavanagh part of this. But I think this particular point is about stuff he said in that Fox interview. I didn't dissect it or hear it uncut, but it sounded like he was saying he was 18 and could buy beer at some point in reference to his high school years.
That may be where some confusion starts.

I guess it is okay to question Kavanaugh about his yearbook but not Ford about hers.

Might wanna check Urban Dictionary on that if you don’t know what it really refers to. ;)

Wow, there's the problem. Ford drank and passed out at so many parties that she can't remember who she had sex with on various occasions.
I wish Kavanaugh would sue her for tarnishing his good name.

True nobody said it was off limits but we all know that the libs here and everywhere and the media would accuse the republicans of accuser/victim shaming if they brought up the subject.
