Leaving freeplay in the machine by accident? I have done this a couple of times. One time was because I cashed out a big win went to TITO machine and forgot I still had freeplay left in the machine. Luckily I was able to see that I still had free play credits and played the remaining free play

The other time was because the Casino changed the "Leftover free play goes back on player's card after card is removed," thing. I had freeplay, played some and then wanted to put my free play in another machine. I removed my card and went to the other machine assuming my free play would go back on the card. I KNEW something was wrong when I had significantly less free play then I should have had. I realized in dismay that I had left my free play in the other machine. I rushed over to it and was grateful that no one had played my free play and that's how I found out that leftover free play no longer was put on cards when removed.

So, anyone else accidentally leave free play in machines?

I have before its easy to cash out after a win and run to cash out your ticket without realizing the free play did not cash out. I am sure somebody quickly jumps on it .

With all I've heard about vulturing and thieves as well as weirdos, I'd not allow myself to go anywhere unless I had accounted for all valuables that I have. I don't smoke but if I did I'd not even leave my cigarette ash lying around. And if the casino's computers had to do something, I'd sit there enjoying a drink and wait for the computer to do it then I would go to a different machine and check that the computer had done it.

Paranoid you say? You might be right but I ain't gonna get excited about one win and leave even pennies behind.

Nathan, some machines are not able to transfer the credits back up to the card. With that in mind you could be at a casino where most machines do transfer it back to the card and others just leave it on the machine.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

One major Vegas strip casino (a decade ago, not sure if they fixed it) had NORMAL FP which went back on the card.

However, on tournament days, the SPECIAL FP prizes did NOT go back on the card (Which screwed many players up).
So you might find $200-300+ FP on machines.

This happens a lot...
