Just published is Edward O. Thorp's autobiography A Man for All Markets.
I came home this afternoon and found a package from Amazon at my door; it was this fine tome.
My brother sent it to me, not in the spirit of "AP's are good guys," but that I actually told him that I esteem EOT as a man and ploymath, and was planning to get it, so he beat me to the punch.
Bless him.
For anyone with an interest in gaming, in math and science, or economic, or in a criticism of the faults of academia, and in the life of this man, (not just AP) - it is a must get book.

Check.
Embarrassing/habitual force of habit from contact with a bridge-playing friend of mine also named Thorp(e).
In any case, a good book on a good man.
Who has/will read it?

He's agreed to come on our radio show "after February 15." I'm hoping that translates into February 16.
I've finished the book. I liked it very much
