I get them all by e-mail, and although I may still continue to answer one once in awhile, I generally ignore them now.
Some of the questions are goofy, or perhaps fishing?
"Do you feel like a winner when you play here?"
(not when i play slots, no, and barely if I play something else)
Also, the "how much of your income do you spend at "xxxx" casino." I may start answering 1%, so they think I'm a whale.
Okay, now that I'm writing this out, I think my problem with some of the questions is you pick up their not so hidden agenda. I guess I would prefer -- "we want you to play/spend more at our resort, how can we get you to do that" instead of "do you feel like a winner?"
I wish more surveys had a text box to allow you to explain the answers.
For example, the only time I feel like a winner is, duh, if I WON on my most recent trip.
The truth is, since I am more likely to lose money at table games, while my wife is more likely to lose money at slots, and she therefore gets better comps than me, it makes me feel like a double loser.

Amen DJ!
I knows how you feel.
I also usually send a complimentary email post-stay and sometimes an email or two with questions pre-stay, which usually result in an upgrade or perk(s), and at the very least, a contact.
It happened about 2 years ago and I can't recall the exact responses. I'm sure it included the usual complaints about AC. I told them they should have free parking, lower table limits, better comps etc.
One thing that surprised me was that the caller said that they have 'focus' meetings where they discuss these survey responses. I told them that the next time they have one of these 'focus' meetings to invite me and I would tell them what I REALLY thought.
I don't think they really listen to these surveys because AC casinos still charge you for parking, have high table minimums and their comp offers stink.
I'm still waiting for that phone call to partake in their 'focus' meeting.

I've done focus meetings for several of the casinos around here (Minneapolis). They're...interesting. I have a fair amount of training in survey research and data collection, and they do not do it correctly. At all. Every time I've been involved in one of these panels, we're just put in a room with the Casino's marketing director. He/she asks questions about what people like or don't like, and people spin hand-held dials to show their opinion. Here's the problem: the dials go from 1-9. The casinos specifically ask for responses to be either 1 (for dislike) or 9 (for like). But the degree matters! Really, if they're prioritizing changes and upgrades, the degree is ALL that matters.
if i find an exceptional dealer especially if theyre in a smaller property, ive been known to call up their corporate headquarters to put a good word in for them. i like dealers who are alert and fast and do what you want them to do without having to tell them. that dont hustle for tips but are gracious when they do get tipped.
some examples of a good dealer in craps:
im playing a $5 3x4x5x odds table and have been continously making passline/come bets. if i made a comebet for $5 and the point comes up 5 or 9 and i place a $25 chip on the comeline. they then give me $20 odds with $5 coming without having to tell them. if ive been working my odds on the comeout roll and the shooter makes his point and im the only one on one side of the table or the last one to get paid, after he pays me he takes my odds bet and places it on my new come point. if i forget to make a comebet or passline bet for some reason, they will remind me.
