Hopefully nothing to do with the Steve Harvey incident. Yes I know that joke was in poor taste.
I read there are rumors of gun shots in PH.

Time and place makes me wonder if it's not connected to the Miss Universe thing at PH. That had to have ended less than an hour earlier with big crowds of people leaving.

That is something to consider. Maybe somebody connected with Miss Columbia who was really pissed off. I mean this seriously -- this is no time to joke about it.

Left the Diamond Lounge at Paris shortly after 5 pm to walk North on the Strip. I don't know exactly when, because, well, it was the Diamond Lounge and this is Vegas.
Her name is Ayesha Morgella having changed it to Ayesha Muzaffar about a year ago. Muzaffar arabic to english translates to "victorious". Whether terrorism gets admitted or not, let's see what happens. Do your own research and draw your own conclusions by searching her facebook.
Folks, it looks like it's on. I love how they won't release the name and deny terrorism just like San Bernardino. Right in front of the Paris, as well. Will possibly post more on this later.
I haven't any Idea what the situation is but this is good investigative work (well I think it is).Quote: MaxPenJust putting this out there. It was intentional and the city won't admit terrorism yet.

More information please.
Does intentional act = terrorism?
"Domestic terrorism" means activities with the following three characteristics:
Involve acts dangerous to human life that violate federal or state law;
Appear intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination. or kidnapping; and
Occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S.
https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/investigate/terrorism/terrorism-definition
So whether it's a terrorist act or not mostly rests on her beliefs about the US.

Eh, I don't get the conspiracy you're implying. There's plenty of instances where they release info without having all the facts -- then they just have to go back and make corrections.
In fact, some of the damn riots get started because people get information out that was wrong to start with. (like with some of the police shootings)
Anyway, if you want to speculate, maybe someone should ask if they do keep it quiet while they check leads connected with this person quietly without alerting all their possible connections-- which at least seems somewhat logical.

What, you don't like those pretzel sticks the average Diamond Card holder lost $8250 to enjoy?
Odds are Beck and Rush start the shows today with this story and asking why the media is covering it up in their mind.

Have a source on this?
He posted the driver's alleged name(s) last night; however as of 7AM Monday the media does not seem to have published the driver's name, at least not that I can find.
I did read she's a woman in her twenties, drove Olds with Oregon plates, and she is described as Afro-American.
source
Not saying this is the same but there is so much caution when the name sounds Arabic.
But it looks like The name Max had was incorrect.
source
So Max, you seemingly inaccurate alarmist: what about your "source" as to her name and your claim that it was terrorism?

"Incorrect" is putting it kindly.
His post was 100% pure B.S.

Although this may be intentional, authorities believe this is not terrorism.
I am lowering my threat level flag from orange to green.
Quote: ahiromuStory sounds like she's mentally ill. She went to a nearby valet and calmy told him to call the police and that she had hit people.
They said she and the kid had been living in the car for a week, in various parking garages. She may well have just fallen asleep at 6:30 in the evening without being impaired, but I guess we'll find out. Seems sort of unlikely given she also hit people at PH. And the cops are saying it was deliberate, so that's a mess.
I have sat at that turn-in for over 5 minutes, waiting for people to stop crossing (there's a walk-light but a lot of people ignore it) while I'm blocking SLVB. Could even be an anger issue, except why did she end up in the Tuscany parking lot? Must've driven out the back. Do you think Paris told her to leave?
Can you imagine being the valet, and this blood-smeared car drives up, 20 year old Oldsmobile, windshield smashed, kid probably screaming inside, all hell breaking loose out front?
Prosecutors will initially file a single charge of murder with a deadly weapon against Holloway, District Attorney Steven Wolfson said. Additional charges are possible, including multiple counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an accident and child abuse/neglect, Wolfson said.

When I Googled the name at midnight last night, only thing that popped up with that name was an alarmist forum.

Homeless in Las Vegas, spent a week living in her car in various casino parking garages.
My guess: not terror, not racism: just desperation / depression / abject futility.

I was going to say, pedestrians don't give a damn about cars there (well the strip in general) and it's always somewhat busy with drivers getting obviously, justifiably, frustrated. We can only guess, but how could you hurt so many people by getting frustrated over the right turn, when you're presumably at a stop right in front of the crosswalk? I just don't see you hurting 30+ by ramming into people 5' in front of you (closer to a dozen). I've got to believe she had a decent running start, but again, we can only guess.

Lemming effect. Shoot even when cellphones weren't prevalent often a crowd will follow the first few who step in the street. You best hope they're not blind idiots up front leading if you just move with the crowds without paying attention to traffic and a lot of people do it just like that.
Anyway, fortunately most drivers are probably trying to avoid hitting crowds of pedestrians which is why it doesn't happen more often.

I've been guilty of the lemming effect, but cars come out of nowhere on the strip. It's just not worth it, considering a majority of the drivers are rushing between taxi/limo jobs. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often, or maybe people get hurt all the time and you never hear about it.

I was wondering the same thing. How does he make up such incendiary B.S. and derail a thread and not get reprimanded for it?
Quote: ams288I was wondering the same thing. How does he make up such incendiary B.S. and derail a thread and not get reprimanded for it?
He defied law of nature. LOL.
However, he could get bounced for violating the "keep it legal" rule, as identifying someone by name and falsely accusing them of terrorism / murder is most certainly libelous and therefore not legal.
I hope MaxPen gets a chance to weigh in as to the source of his clearly bogus, inflammatory info before he gets thrown out and joins the ranks of the disgruntled WOV exiles at GG and GF.
MaxPen is a Las Vegas local: I assumed he had some inside info that hadn't been released to the media.
Absent a showing of innocent mistake his post went way beyond the pale.
Quote: BozReport of up to 27 people hurt when a car ran into people on the strip. Hope everyone is OK and that this is just an accident.
Accident would imply that nobody was at fault. With my callous sense of humour, this is all I should post in this thread.
