Diablo III

That ninja build for the DH come 2.4/Season 5 is going to be sick. Hopefully they better not nerf that build. With only level 20 gems you can cut through a level 60+ GRift if you optimize your gear on the PTR. Imagine if you up your gems to 60+! Also Thorns on that Invoker Set for the Cru is going to be doing some major damage. That new recipe they are going to add for Kanai's Cube is going to really up the DPS! Yet it is also a major gold and possible gem sink.

Also Anno 2205 is another awesome city builder.

PC D3 lost a bit of attraction to me with the prospect of third party software (botting). I play primarily on PS4, and their patching system is slightly different. Not sure what version they use, but I think it's slightly behind. Still an amazing game.

I play a SSS Uliana build at Grift ~55ish. Still trying to get a Fist of Az'Turrasq and a Flow of Eternity for Kanai's. It's rough not having those two staple items, though the core of the build is complete.

Ninja DH will certainly be interesting. Almost makes me think of a throw back to the Amazon class in D2. I loved playing a Javazon, as their Charged Strike ability was obscenely powerful.

Mine (DH) currently is a Multishot with a Yang's Recurve and Unhallowed Essence. A bit of a tech addict with the Sentry builds, though I find the placement of the turrets doesn't really help with speed clearing.

Ah okay that makes sense. The PC version has Seasons which the console versions don't because you guys get offline mode. Don't really care about botting since I am not worrying about being on the leatherboards. Plus I am no gabynator who grinds some 15 hours each day seven days a week! It is insane how he comes back from a ban starting with a fresh copy and reaches 1400 paragon in a few weeks!

The Unhallowed Essence build is awesome. Well sentries is going to have meaning once again come the 2.4 patch.

Nat's with Strafe / RoV is pretty strong. It's a viable end-game build with the right gear. Sentries are also a lot of fun, but can be awkward to deal with.

I mostly run GRifts, sitting at ~450 paragon right now

I played the multi player online version and I didn't do the normal boring type SIM's type play. There was a huge social element to it as per the original design of the game. It become more about controlling a city. The players were about 75% females(some crazy ones).

Second Life is very interesting. I believe its an open source code.

Apparently people make money playing that as well., I heard about some big numbers. I believe that the currency(Lindon dollars?) is traded publicly. People started a bunch of casinos but they shut them down, however people relocate the casinos every few months.

You definitely need Crashing Rain and armed with a Calamity on the other hand to be effective. I always liked Strafe but coupled with the quick cooldown of Rain of Vengeance you can just fly through things and cut things up like butter fast. Hence the top guys on the Demon Hunter leatherboard have the Natalya Set build.

As for Paragon after Season 4 ends I will be around 820 or so.

Absolutely. I'm still trying to get Calamity for Kanai's cube for my DH. As I posted previously, she's using Yang's Recurve with Unhallowed Essence. Cindercoat and Yang's give Multishot a very low Hatred cost, and does quite well with Dead Man's Legacy. The passive Ambush gives the initial Multishot a great boost in damage, and any mob hit by it under 60% HP, take two shots instead of one.

For the Strafe comment, I meant that it be used in sequence with Evasive Fire, to lower the cooldown of Rain of Vengeance. Pretty good clearing speed, though I can imagine that if the volume of mobs is dense enough, RoV will clear the CD by itself.

PS4 doesn't have seasons, so I have that benefit, it's nice to not worry about seasons ending to build my characters. My two highest rifters are in need of a few items and then all I'm looking for is the same gear with higher stats or ancient varieties. DH needs Calamity, and an ancient version of Yang's. Monk needs Flow of Eternity, and Fist of Az'Turrasq

My next project is a Hammerdin.

If you have tons of crafting materials the more efficient move is to get your rares either through Kadala or during a rift and bring them to Kanai's Cube and upgrade it. You have much better chance at getting the Legendary/Set item you want. As for getting an Ancient it might take some work. Totally drained my Death's Breath in arming up my Whirlwind Barb.

Playing Seasons is a real pain in the arse for that very first character you are brining to 70. Best to do so in a group. Hopefully you run into a Gem Hoarder goblin and get a Level 61/70 Ruby when you are leveling. After that first character to 70 the rest is pretty much a quick smooth up when you get a Gem of Ease to level 25.

I am pretty active for this Season but don't know if I will be so come Season 5. I will probably stop once I get all the achievements and earn that extra stash space. Lucky for you console folks you automatically get some extra 150 stash space because you don't have Seasons.

Speaking of your DH. If you have Pride's Fall for your helm you also decrease your resource 30% for not taking damage for 5 seconds.

I have thousands of materials, though Death's Breath is the limiting factor. I don't mind the wait for ancient items, it's just the staple items that I need to get. I love the crafting system, but the material ratio seems lopsided. Even my Forgotten Soul count is beyond what I need for now.

On that note though, it's taken me approximately 5-6 months before I found any Ramaladni's Gifts. I couldn't believe the complete lack of drops. I've had dozens on PC, and even some of my PS4 friends have had one or two. I'm keeping this one until I either find another, or get an ancient version of Yang's. It's not worth it to roll the socket off the bow for higher damage and use the Gift. Not on a non-ancient item.

I keep hearing that the Cube is getting additional recipes added. I'd love to see something involving set bonuses, but that seems like it could be too strong of a mechanic to incorporate, at least to the degree of how legendary extraction works.

If you would have played when D3 was released, I think you may have been disappointed. I spent unhealthy volumes of time on D2, and D2 LoD for many years. I played D3 with the expectation of it being a sequel to D2.

D3 is more the successor to D2 than a sequel, at least in terms of game play. The initial release of D3 left me unhappy with the way Blizzard chose to go with the game. The game itself, while beautiful, lacked content like D2 did. The boss loot tables were really no different than any other mob, as the developers wanted you to play through the game rather than do MF runs.

There was no incentive to replay the game once you beat it, save for playing on higher difficulties. The promised "PvP" element was cut from the game, and I grew bored with the game within a month of release.

Since then however, Blizzard has made substantial changes to the game, and it's great! I do miss the PvP aspect, as well as runewords, but that's life.

Sounds like I should re-install D3 and take a look at the changes. Played it for about a month right after the release and just got a bit bored with it. Presently the games that have wasted most of my weekend and nights are: World of Tanks (old man shooter), GTA V, Everquest II, Age of Wonders, Borderlands 2 and also use Vassal to play board games with a couple friends out west. World of Warcraft the board game and the Lord of the Rings board game are both very well done mods on the Vassal website.

World of Tanks was too much "Pay to Win" for my liking. World of Warships is far less so, and much more enjoyable for me. I love sailing around in a massive battleship, firing shells at 20 KM away.

GTA V I have for both PC and PS4. I prefer the PS4 version but mostly for the controls. I'll play that when I feel the need to fly a military jet through highly populated city streets.

The RMAH was kinda fun for me, well not the real money part but the buying and selling through gold. I did play again after the expansion came out, I might go back to it since WOW is starting to be a grind of log in, pick up garrison resources, do some dailies, logoff.....

D2 was fun, scratch that addictive because I could horde items, runes, gems to trade for builds. It was a great day when I finally had all my items to build an Auradin (about 8+ high runes) but the fun was gathering all the drops. Also I rarely upgrade my system so it was nice to be able to run it with pretty much no lag on an old system.

I was perma-banned from WoW from the usage of third party software. To be honest, I feel it was overkill, but that's not for me to decide. ~10 years of progress gone due to complacency. Before my ban, I was looking forward to Legion, but since, I can't pick the game up again. If I did, I would be more inclined to bot even more, to pick up where I left off. Too much grinding to do, and I don't have that time to do it myself.

I'm actually kind of surprised to hear the responses that have been given so far in this thread. I was just expecting to be facetious in my comment about video games. Glad to see I'm not the only one here who games.

If anyone has a PS4, let me know if you want to connect via PSN.
I play D3, Need for Speed, GTA V, Call of Duty Black Ops 3. I also own Evolve, Destiny, Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

For PC, I'm usually involved in League of Legends, World of Warships mostly. I had an EVE addiction for a long time, but have been inactive for quite some time.

Whirlwind Barb. I'm kinda wishing I'd picked that name for the forum. I like it!

If you guys like D3 like I am ohhhhh you are gonna love this!

Sick!

Never played D2 before. Yet I will probably purchase the reimagining/updated version come the future since Blizz is working on bringing D2 back in updated form. Oh the Auction House for D3 was awesome. Love to log on the next day and see like some $10mil gold in my stash. If was even more awesome the first two/three months when the game came out where folks would actually pay real money for digital items. Remember quite well when that rare Spectrum and Horadric Hamburger dropped. Folks were willing to pay $10 to $15 for it. Unbelievable.

I keep hearing that the Cube is getting additional recipes added. I'd love to see something involving set bonuses, but that seems like it could be too strong of a mechanic to incorporate, at least to the degree of how legendary extraction works.

The next recipe for Kanai's Cube come 2.4 is that you can augment your legendary gems to your Ancient Items giving you the DPS boost. I think a level 75 gem gives you a +500 boost to your character's core attributes or survival properties. You can literally get a 4000 boost to your main stats! That is just for level 75 gems. Imagine higher. Going to be a major gem suck though.

You can see what is going to be added/changed come patch 2.4.

All of this is just to make your character/build much more stronger and survive so you can hit GR100+.

We need a second expansion!

Been thinking of checking out World of Warships and I do agree about the pay to play element of WoT. Been playing around on the tier 5 to 7s because they just seem more fun and I don't loose as much silver repairing and restocking. Wish they would change the matchmaker up a bit though.

Played GTA V on PS3 but transitioned to the PC. Don't mind driving and walking with the keyboard but definitely use the game pad for flying. Haven't got a jet yet but am saving my cash. Did break down and buy that little attack helicopter and that is a lot of fun to fly around in.

LoL has a very tough and rough crowd. Very rude and cutthroat if you don't know what you are doing. I have NO idea. Ha ha. I downloaded the game loaded up to my comp. Saw a few youtube videos and was like.... this is not me. Uninstalled it.

Then played a bit of Heroes of the Storm which is like LoL for a weekend. Didn't hit the spot like D3 and StarCraft. Only did it for the pennant and portrait frame for my D3 toons.

Read about Eve. Sounds interesting but didn't get into it since D3 is addictive enough on its own.

My highest Grift currently is only around ~53. My Monk is easily the strongest character, but he's in need of a few upgrades like I've mentioned before. I know with some tricks like snapshotting, you can clear higher levels quite easily, but it's not something I've delved into yet.

The second expansion for D3, to my knowledge, will conclude the Diablo universe. Part of me is sad to hear that, as I absolutely love that universe that Blizzard has created. From Diablo 1 onwards, I've followed the story through the games and all the books.

In the end, I'm glad I've had so many years to experience the wonderful creation that Blizzard put together.

WoWS is not pay-to-win at all, and that's something I love about it. I currently have ships in the 5-7 range as well. The price bump from T7 to T8 is a little steep. Ultimately, the ships just get larger, stronger, and have higher caliber weapons. The basis on how you play the game stays the same.

For GTA, I don't own a jet. I own a few high end cars, but any time I have the desire to fly, I have to steal the aircraft. Civilian planes are easy to get, but the military jet involves jumping the perimeter fence with my Bugatti, and hijacking a jet off the runway.

The competitive scene for LoL can be tumultuous. I've been a part of it for a long time, and you can find a lot of negative attitudes and behaviour in all ranks of the game, but more prevalence, in the lower ranks. The game itself is quite fun, and I love the style of play. It has a very easy to learn, difficult to master style of play, with additions of new champions to play on a regular basis.

Heroes of the Storm, to me, is terrible. I've played DotA, HoN, LoL, and HoS. They all had their merit in one way or another, but HoS is just not a variation I enjoy.

EVE is amazing, but very time consuming. I've spent literally days watching a station or a star gate, waiting for an opportunity to murder someone. It has a very elaborate universe with a large player base who all play on one server. Great game, but I don't have the time to dedicate to the game.

I will have to check WoWS out. Watched a few of the you tube videos and I liked what I saw. Glad to hear it is a more level playing field as far as pay to play goes. I have a feeling I will get my butt handed to me for the most part but that doesn't mean it won't be fun. Maybe I will see the Jingles one of these nights.

Ok I have to try that. Not a fan of bungee jumping but Bugatti jumping into a military airbase, well that sounds like way too much fun.
