I've been reading for a while and made a few posts already, but it seems it might be wise to post an actual 'intro' thread...

I'm an engineer living in Houston. My gambling is purely recreational, and view my bankroll as an entertainment expense. I'm a fairly low roller, and also fairly infrequent, maybe 2-3 trips/sessions a year lately. I prefer games/bets with a "reasonable" HE that allows milking the bankroll for a while, to drink and socialize. I also like some element of decision making, although currently the most complicated strategy I can use is BJ basic strategy. I like studying the mathematical theory of games, just have not yet put forth the effort to implement it -- and, I know my limits and won't play a game unless I've studied it sufficiently.

anyway that's all about me, been enjoying reading the discussions here so far!

I'm guessing that from Houston you usually hit the Lake Charles/ Coushatta area? Or do you make the extra trip to Shreveport/ Bossier City?

Just another relatively new member myself, but since I posted about intro's, and you provided an intro, I gotta come back and say, 'a hearty welcome aboard mate'.
Best of luck finding a game you'd like to focus on, and best of luck ( and recreational pleasure ) playing that game!
Youuuuuu MIGHT be a 'rascal' if.......(nevermind ;-)...2F

Primarily Lake Charles and Coushatta for me. I'm slowly getting my wife more into gambling, so there might be longer-ranging trips in our future.

Welcome TwoFeathers! I have plenty of games that I know enough about to be comfortable playing, and I'm always going to seek variety, but yeah I'll see if I can find one to learn well enough to reduce that HE further!
