Agreed. If you are concerned about the well-being of a forum member, that's probably a good thing. And I would say that's what PM's are for, if you are so inclined. But I don't know AoS, or practically anyone else on this forum, so far be it for me to meddle or even have the appearance of meddling. If someone asked for my input or perspective, that's different.

Oh it's off and running... just saying it needs fuel to keep on going. I highly suspect someone (or some people) love and crave the attention... watching the ants scurry around when they drop a log on the ant hill. And like being the king ant and responding energetically to the logs (okay, that metaphor fails).

I could never move overseas for a year. That has gotta be just weird. My uncle worked on a ship unloading supplies for a military type company. He was gone for two years and almost never left the ship. I could never have done that, but he did make almost 200k in that time and didn't even have a way to spend it.
We will also accept requests on a time limit of said suspension, but it must be at least 30 days. If no time limit is specified, then the member may come back upon request after 30 days.

If you choose to leave a board, can't you just leave the board without a mention? Kind of like leaving a job you didn't like. "What happened to Randy, he didn't come in today." "He mentioned he wasn't happy here to me." "Well good for him, moving on to where he will be happy. Sorry to see him go, I kind of liked the stories he had to tell. They entertained me. " "I hope he finds happiness wherever he lands, but damn, I will miss hearing his stories, They entertained the hell out of me. Do you remember that story he told us about......?"
