Doesn't it make you wonder if your casino/hotel offers have ever been delivered to another home by accident?
For the same hotel, I've gotten mine as well as another person's offer. Perhaps the people at the post office sorting the mail assumed that two persons in the household had the same offer and didn't bother looking at the address (same zip code though).
Post offices have had clocks removed from the lobbies so people will not become disruptive during delays. There is a policy to remove clocks but no policy to end the delays.
I'm more concerned about delays involved... some of those coupons are expired before I even get the flyer!
well at least both of us were from Canada
It seems that some casinos are now moving to email as the preferred method of communicating offers. At Horseshoe Cleveland, you have to have an email to sign up for a Total Rewards card and I get 10 email offers for every offer that comes in the mail.

I have received bulk mail addressed to people that don't live near me; I assume that two items stuck together and the delivery person just didn't notice. Yes, I have wondered how much similar mail I have lost, especially as I once had $100 in gift cards delivered to my neighbor by mistake.
Twice, I have had packages delivered to me 18 months after they were sent (one was even "priority mail"), but that's another story for another thread...
Wondering if it's someone being scammed or something. People from other countries use Stolen CC and have it sent to someone with a US address.Quote: RSI got one from someone else in my building. It was from Station Casinos. I opened it and it's full of Bingo coupons and other old people sh**. I looked on the address and name, it was put into the wrong box (I live in a condo). So I walked it over to her door and dropped it off. Hopefully she got many bingos or whatever because I delivered her free BINGO play.......but she probably just ended up losing all her money to the BINGO rooms and couldn't afford rent anymore. Maybe that's why I have new neighbors...........damn neighbors, I swear they either go out for weeks at a time or stay inside for weeks at a time......and they order lots of stuff too from FedEx....they always got a few deliveries sitting in front of their door and it'll be there for a few weeks, slowly accumulating, then they'll take 'em all in.....then one shows up....then a second....then soon there's a pile......if anyone wanted to steal their condo, I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult. Plus I don't like them, those people, always making the elevator smell like weed, not that I disprove, but, come on, at least get some air freshener or something and have some decency--we aren't in the projects. Wait where the....I don't even remember what started my rant. Heh.

I got the munchies after reading your post
(Are 500$ markers common? It sounds really small to me.)
People receiving packages can be fronts for stolen credit cards who've been told to hold them and then ship to the Ukraine or something.
Note: always distinguish between post office and private couriers. Con men often avoid mailing anything so as to avoid Mail Fraud charges and want to always Fed Ex something to you.
Casinos now not only use emails but often have a Twitter Presence as well for concert reminders and other specials.
Quote: VenthusI've never gotten casino offers for somebody else mailed to me, but I've gotten a marker non-payment notice. -_-

I've seen $500 markers taken out a couple of times. Once it was an older couple at Binions; each took out a $500 marker. Other time was a 20 something guy at a craps table at Mirage. Downtown it doesn't surprise me, but I'm surprised a mega-resort like Mirage doesn't have a higher minimum to take out a marker.
dealer: how much sir?
guy: *holds up 1 finger* "put it on hard 8
dealer: $1000 on hard 8?
guy: no 1 on hard 8
dealer: black chip on hard 8!
guy: NO I meant $1 on the hard 8.
pit boss comes around the table to get the guy to sign a $1000 marker..... wait its only $1.
That is the marker amount, not the marker limit or the per trip limit. Even if your marker limit is only ten grand, some people like to sign out their money in amounts of five hundred dollars.Quote: AcesAndEightsI've seen $500 markers taken out a couple of times.
