SLS? You're stuck there unless you get a car/cab whatever...
I like their no commission Pai Gow poker game
I love downtown. A variety of different casinos just a short walk away.
They have a buffet.
SLS -no buffet, no other casinos a short walk away, commission Pai Gow poker

They have other casinos in the area? Or were you just referring to restaurants and other amenities? What other amenities are in las vegas?
Quote: aceofspadesWhere would you rather stay and why?
I would say Golden Nugget because it is more accessible. You have all of those casinos within walking distance downtown, and if you want to go to the strip, just get on the Deuce. The difference between getting on the Deuce downtown and at SLS is that the route starts at downtown. So you know that it will leave at its scheduled time. You may have to wait a little bit at SLS. If cab fares don't bother you, or if you have your own car, then either choice will be fine. They are equally nice.
Had trip booked for GN
host there moved to SLS
host now not getting back to me about my stay at SLS
I have phoned SLS a few times and they cannot find a reservation for "Mr. AceofSpades"
Host not returning my calls or texts
If I call my new GN host, and say f*#k it to the SLS, what are the pros/cons?

How far off is your trip?
How many nites are spending in Vegas?
Have you considered a split stay, stay at one property and then move to other.

Trip is Tuesday and yes splitting time already
was SLS and Aria
now got upset enough to talk to GN host and do GN and Aria
Quote: pokerfaceFrom long term perspective, I would say Golden Nugget. I bet that GN will be around for many years, but I can't say the same for SLS.
+1
Screw that host, GN is way better anyway.
You liked Fremont St last time you were
there. SLS is middle of nowhere.

That's the consensus
Does anyone know if the GN LV is on the same tier/comp system as GN AC?

People that work at SLS are on this board.
Your last trip report pretty much spells out what you do and how much you beat up the Aria.
Maybe they are putting 2 and 2 together.
I heard Bob Dancer played a lot at the SLS when it opened and he was not pleased with his comps. He got the feeling they wanted him to move on.
I sent you a pm. Why do you not tet cosmo

Unless things changed recently, no, they're not. The players club cards look similar, but you'll have different numbers.

First, my vote is for GN, but that's because as a lower roller I love downtown (although I'm sure you should be able to find great $50/$100 games).
Secondly, does this mean I smell a TR coming??? Say it's so, Ace! Say it's so!
Lastly, if you stay downtown you can finally play at El Cortez! I'd love to see what they do if you just flatted hundreds lol. A simple 100-200 spread would be a winning spread there..
No secret casino for you.Quote: aceofspadesThat's the consensus

It be so! TR shall commence tomorrow - I hope to make it interactive as usual and hopefully will provide plenty of photos along the way!

Not yet, but according to my latest mailer it's "coming soon" that all Golden Nugget properties will use the same players club.
