It is beyond creepy and he's far from the only man of that age who acts inappropriately. I won't vomit because I won't listen. I see older men make fools of themselves often, especially around young women. If they could only see themselves as others see them. Guys, you're not all that. You are not the one. Trust me on this. They're laughing at you.
I'm old too but I don't act this way. I respect others and I respect myself.

When I was young, I thought getting old
made you act clueless and stupid. Now
that I'm over 60, I realize that people
don't change, and a older guy who acts
like a dumbass has been acting that way
all his life. He was hitting on cocktail
waitresses at 23 and is still doing it at 66.

His radio show is only available in Vegas, right?
Quote: GreasyjohnHis radio show is only available in Vegas, right?
You can hear it live on the net or
got to archives and hear them all.
I see nothing wrong with an adult oriented show occasionally talking about sex, after all it is a part of life and talk shows talk about what is on their mind.
I listen to a lot of talk radio since I don't like much music on the radio, and almost every show I have ever listened to in depth (in America) occasionally talks of sex, even super conservative people.
I'd put it in the same category as strip clubs: some guys like that sort of thing, others don't.
Whatever, Las Vegas is SIN CITY, and how can there be sin without horniness?

Yeah. The lady doth protest too much, methinks. In fact, SHE'S a bit creepy.

She's real, not creepy. My wife had a business
for 15 years she she was sick to death of men. They
were always flirting and saying stupid things they
think are oh so clever. And it's never original, the
same stuff over and over. The young girl in the video
is just telling it like it is, so many men are clueless
as to how they come across to women.
Some guys say retarded things or are creepy and some aren't, it really depends. More often than not they probably come of as retards saying corny sht.Quote: EvenBobShe's real, not creepy. My wife had a business

I have a fried (I've been told hes not a bad looking guy a fairly fit and not nerdy) that's always saying dumb shit to girls, and he hits on every chick. He never has any luck and complains. I'm always warning him, please don't say anything dumb. Just a few days ago, he actually stiffed a cocktail waitress, I scolded him. I chased her down tipped for him and apologized. He Actually hit on her on her return trip. Then asked me, if I though he had a chance. I said, "are you Effing serious?"
flirt too, just not as much as I used too. Once you
get past 50, younger women no longer take
you seriously. If they see you are seriously
hitting on them, that's when the creepiness
starts. Don't be that guy, don't be their dad
trying to get into their pants.
Unless they have daddy issues. Just make sure its not sugar daddy issues.Quote: EvenBobdon't be their dad

The "young" girl in the video? She's no spring chicken herself. In fact, the only guys who would consider her young would be the "old" guys she despises so much.
Here's a solid tip on the word "creepy" - unless your first period was within the last 5 years....don't use it.

half plus seven rule
As for the guys who hit on everyone, yeah - you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, but you need to recognize when you don't have a shot in the first place. (Hint: everyone hits on the "10"s, so you maybe pay some attention to the attention-starved 6.)

If you have enough money more than a few will take you VERY seriously, you can be sure of that.
Quite often this occurs if he is in a so called exciting profession, like AP !

I am very confused by the purpose of this book. I would very much enjoy a synopsis of the book as well lol.

...and whether it was Amazon or actually the author who managed to do that. I think I'd feel better about it if he (or they) got "sex" wrong. It was apparently self-published ("Compton Dancer Pub"). The mistake was not repeated for the sequel (!) "More Sex, Lies, and..."

Women base their self-worth on how many men hit on them — if men stopped hitting on them or flirting with them, at any age, they would complain about that

Of course. I think they complain about
it because it lets others know men are
flirting with them. I would hate to be a
really good looking young guy, the ones
I've known have real pain in the ass
lives. Women are always coming onto
them and they are always married because
some hot babe trapped them young. These
men seem to all have ex wives and child
support till they're in their 50's, no thanks.
What is a 100? It's a 95 year old with $5-million.
It can also be a 90 year old with $10-million.

You're talking about women who are endlessly objectified, and taught that all their value is in how they look/smell/sound/behave to men. It's only gotten worse as advertising and media has become more and more a continual presence.
It takes a very strong mind and personality, male or female, to break out of that continuously reinforced message, especially to do it with some sense of security and self-worth. I haven't managed it, though I've been aware of it for a couple of decades now, so that's a start. But I'm a product of my upbringing and environment, just as you are.
This is hysterical, and totally on point.
Edit; amended the link to the one I referred to on previous edit, with the guy matrix at the end. Go 6 minutes in if you want to see the rest of it.

Edit; in the one I saw this morning (but was a flash, not a youtube, and I can't figure out how to get it here), he went on with a short lecture about the guy chart corollary, where x was cute and y was money. If anybody has that one, that part is worth hearing as well.
And yet you suffered a 3 day suspension for removing a picture of you. Hmmmmm ?

So are you denying that all women (other than lesbians) crave attention from men (whether they actually are interested in the men that pay attention to them is another story)

Very funny and mostly very true. To men,
women are nuttier than a fruitcake. When
he said if a woman is a 9 and not the
slightest bit crazy, it's a guy, not a woman.
I LOL at that.
Find a similar chart by a woman about a
man and it will be 90's about money and
10% about looks and how he treats you.
If they're truthful. The really funny part
about the woman chart, there are men
married to the women is worst part of the
chart. In fact, most men are married to
them. My wife is nuts half the time, you
get used to it.

When the mind can't make sense of something, it will sometimes just give up and check out.

Ummm...no. I totally acknowledged it, and said it was learned behavior (especially for American women). What part of that did not come through?

Have you ever heard the thing about, to have a happy marriage, when you have an argument with your spouse, and you find out you were right, the only thing to do is apologize immediately?
The whole picture thing got spooled up beyond its importance by people with an agenda, people taking sides before they'd spoken to both parties, and good people with good intentions travelling the road to hell together. So I self-suspended and killed the torch-carriers' argument rather than standing my ground. Pissed some people off doing that, too: it was a no-win.
I consider it water under the bridge. Don't be a rabble-rouser, please, by beating the dead horse.
Yes, but. Not necessarily quite that simply. I don't think it is quite that calculating usually. Sometimes yes, and other times partly, but oftentimes not directly in a purely accounting calculation.Quote:money
Money/power/prestige or an air of apparent status, even when sometimes derivative and temporary, these can have somewhat fungible effects. Penniless people who have a stage of sorts have a money substitute in this department, like with the situational charisma of a momentary guitar hero or starring figure in a similar role. I've experienced this in the past when I had certain roles to fill for a while, along with the instant vanishing of that when not filling that role. I think this accounts for at least some portion of all the pounds of underwear & marriage proposals inevitably mailed to serial killers.
And I think all of this kind of stuff is only partly culturally mediated, while also partly a vestige of evolutionary selection in the old involuntary reptilian part of the brain that's more closely related to feelings & impulses than calculating "if this > then that" thought. I've seen variations of it playing out in places with very different cultural traditions than the ones most of us here come from. Those who set out to intentionally change how people respond to one another have assigned themselves a big boulder to roll up quite a steep cliff, which is apt to end up somewhere besides the intended destination of their human cultural engineering project.

Well, you beat the poor horse even more by responding. So you're saying you were right to do what you did? I think Doc, the consummate gentleman in all this, may have some thoughts on that. The Wizard clearly stated that you abused your powers. Do you disagree with him?

Since you were the #1 person with an agenda at the time, I think I'll pass on your lame attempt to spool it up again, but thanks for the opportunity.

There you go again with the insults. Why won't you answer the question? Have you apologized to Doc?
