One thing I learned not that long ago is that, in Nevada, video Keno pays off at better odds than a live game because it is considered a slot machine, and the returns for slots are dictated by Nevada law. Now I know that live Keno is probably the worst game offered, with a house edge approaching 30%. But I was wondering, are the pay tables for say a 25 cent 10-Spot ticket where you catch 7 the same everywhere? Or is it like VP where some casinos have better games. I know I could just scout out some games at different casinos to find the answer (if I were in Vegas). The El Cortez offers a 50 cent ticket that pays like a $1 ticket (with a coupon from their monthly newsletter). Yes, that's a small bet but it's got a positive EV.

Edit: I just found my answer. The pay tables from casino to casino can vary. I just read that in "1000 Best Casino Gambling Secrets". It also says in this book that you should keep your bets to a maximum payout of $1,175 to avoid a W2-G. The odd of hitting all 7 in a 7 spot at video Keno are about 41,000:1. 8 for 8 is 230,000:1. 9 for 9 is 1,380,358:1 (Not that I'd be playing video Keno.)

Pay tables vary yes. I'll jump on this thread wondering about the 28,000 credit video keno I heard about. Supposedly they used to be around but are hard to find. Anybody know anything about it, do they still exist and what payback percent were they?

are you talking about a 7 spot with 7000 to 1 JP? Haven't heard of anything special regarding that other than the 9% hold.

Back in early 2000's there were some triple diamond keno games with a player favorable glitch involving being able to play for free on the coin droppers.
