I really need to just get away from all this nonsense. I’ll never stop reading about this shit, and promise myself time and again I’m not going to get involved anymore, but just can’t resist.
Please BAN me from this site today, so it’s not just a simple click of the mouse for me to return.
Quote: 4ofaKindI’ve come to the conclusion that all the hard work being done by me and a few others over the years, trying to make online gamblers aware of actual facts was, is, and always will be a complete waste of time.

A please ban me thread? What have you started here? :-)
Why not take a cooling off period of, say, two days? Sunday is your four year anniversary on this forum and would be a good time to make a graceful exit if that is truly your desire.
You don't strike me as someone who has to worry about "clicking the mouse". You consider yourself a professional video poker player. You can't do that without discipline. You have only made 220 posts in four years here, again showing some discipline.
Things get stale, things get frustrating. If it's no longer enjoyable for you to participate here, you can lay low for a while rather than quit. As a professional you certainly know about keeping your options open.
Whatever your decision, I wish you the very best.
I agree with a cooling off period. I don't want to see him go.Quote: 1BB

.
With that being said, the sale of this site, once a safe place for him, mostly free of something he has been upset with for years is now, is now going to a business geared towards the one thing that gets his blood boiling. OUCH!!
Its like a horrible ex showing up you your wedding with your best friend. (Hard to ignore)

If you've learned all of that over only 220 posts, then you're one of the smartest posters on gambling sites that I've come across.
OP, if you want banned just email the mods, no need to post a thread.
I also find it ironic that you talk about a waste of time in your OP.
I think that he was wanting to shine light on his feelings about the sale of the site.Quote: GWAEI hope sally sees this thread. She would have some funny remarks regarding men and their egos such as look at me, look at me.

Read some of his posts, he is no attention whore, no doubt probably a former bonus whore.

I guess that makes sense.
FWIW, I hope he just stays. I can not remember a single post that I have had a problem with.

I think Mike would disagree you're "wasting your time", though I'm sure he's gone through similar periods of frustration.
The value of the WoO sites lie largely in similar motivations leading to an enormous resource, with its roots in player advocacy, fair gaming practices, and honest evaluation of odds and paytables. That hasn't changed; every indication is the sites will remain supportive of open information and free exchange of ideas and opinions. They are retaining and building on the site, not buying it to bury it or compromise Mike's reputation or integrity.
In fact, if you look at this new member blog from yesterday, the poster makes strong allegations about a particular software provider that underlies many European online casinos and is well-regarded on LCB. I saw it first and reached upward for guidance on responding; the bosses, both old and new, are responding by asking the poster for numbers/statistics. Not arguing. Not deleting. Not a knee-jerk defense of the system. Just asking for facts, minus the rhetoric.
So, I would request that you stay, remain independent, keep posting and adding to the community. However, there's a precedent for accepting requests for voluntary resignations, so if you would care to verify via PM or here that you genuinely want me to do that, I will. If you're just in a frustrated moment and wanted to open a discussion about it, mission accomplished, and we'll continue on. Best wishes either way. :)

Request granted.
You may return upon request, but per a new policy, voluntary bans must last at least 30 days, unless a longer term is requested.

then I off to start my own gambling odds site, I think BruceZ is off to do the same thing right now,
but I think I will add way more fun and sexiness to the readers and visitors experience,
something very lacking at the WoO or WoV, in my opinion
so, another member does not like anything to do with online casinos, is this it
well, thank you for sharing
what online casino shows they are 100% fair and honest in every game they offer?
none as I searched,
but they all claim to be fair and honest (I lied, I did not look at all of them)
the actual code used is not (never or ever) displayed
================================================================
they also suggest for a superior playing experience to download the casino software to your computer
that opens up all sorts of doors
maybe honest to start like
changing the default search engine or adding
infolinks
but those links do not always have our better interests in mind (like adding a virus to our computer without us knowing it)
a friend did this and her computer is now they way someone else wants it to be
instead of how she wants it, and that all from just downloading one casino software

If online casinos had a reputable insurer (or big name, allstate, geico, statefarm etc,) that could offer insurance that if they were ever indicted for cheating customers you could claim some specific amount of insurance, I might start gambling online after purchasing such insurance.
Perhaps a novel method, and not entirely sure if it would actually work, or even be offered.
*not intending to debate reputable insurance, just needed some examples for the example.
I always wanted to ask casino affiliate site owners who tout various online casinos,"if they are reputable, why not offer up your money as a guarantee?"Quote: rxwineQuote: mustangsallyhow will one know it is "time"

This is nothing more than a ploy to get attention....
Quote: GandlerWhy not just delete your account.
that is not possible.
Hes trying to get attention to something he believes in no doubt. Attention to or for himself, unlikely.Quote: GandlerThis is absurd. Why not just delete your account. Or change your password to a password you can't possibly know. Or PM a mod to ban you.

Even if you're correct, it's not like many others haven't done worse. A few members have quit the forum multiple times and then made a big production out of it.

Plenty of bitcoin casino's offer a service called provably fair. Here is some info on what that means.

I'd like to hear your thoughts,

p.s. Bitcoin rocks!
