AC casinos closing: Any negatives?

based on the surrounding community, it's not like they contribute much to the neighborhood.
so if ALL the casinos close, I don't see much of an impact except to the people that work there.
(and the politicians whose pockets arent being lined anymore. boo-hoo-hoo)

It hurts anyone wanting room comps on the lower end and any money they would toss around.

Maybe the AC casinos should start thinking of ways to enhance the experience for the players, and invent new ways to entice them to AC, instead of just viewing everyone as stupid sheep to be sheared.........

Tonight there were a few hundred showboat workers protesting outside the taj, chanting 4 more months. Not sure what the 4 more means.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.

They probably should have built an entire low end honky tonk el-cheapo gambling venue. Like an early vegas. Smaller casinos, but a lot of character.

I believe they want the casinos to stay open four more months. The idea being buyers would need to see the casinos operating to evaluate an offer to buy the casinos. I'm surprised they're not getting two more days!
Showboat's planned close is Sunday 8/31. Last hotel night is 8/30.
Why not stay open two more days, just to make the most of the Labor Day weekend?

Probably something to do with accounting to close it out at the end of a month
