REPORT.
Apparently she took 3rd for $2000. She sent me a text saying "I won first BJ tourney!! "Placed 3rd..Only won 2k" "first place was about $7500 2nd about $4500"
She sent a pic of her chips they totaled about 850k

I was unclear if this was the first BJ tournament you ever played in or if this was just the first one you scored in?
If it was the first one you ever played in, that's impressive.
I'm wondering if there is an advantage to be had playing in BJ tournaments Nowadays. I would have to think BJ tournaments are better for a NON AP over playing at the tables.
I have only played comped BJ tournaments with some success.
One particular tournament was big I was one hand away from a final table. Last place on the final table got a very nice payday At least 5k, first place was like 100k. This was early during my AP. 5k would have been nice and 100k would have significantly boosted my BR and magnified my income for the proceeding year.
I really got a bad beat on this. There is a bit more to the story but this is the gist of it.
I was at the last round to the final table(only one moved on). It got down to 3 of us. All of us wanted to make a private dealt. I think they did more then me ( it was minimum 5k or nothing). THE FEMALE DEALER informed the tournament boss we were all making a deal. The Boss was also a chick, she really got furious and said no deals. So we tried to secretly make a deal(obviously hard to do). The dealer again called over the the boss girl and said she thought we were still planning a deal. She gave us a final warning and said she would have us disqualified and 86ed if we even talked about making a deal or if she suspected it.
We reluctantly agreed no deal. It all came down to one hand and a bad beat for me. I just needed to dealer to bust or not make a good hand on her 15.
