Does anyone have first-hand knowledge of any Sigma Derby machines located in casinos outside of the United States? I know where the five Sigma Derby machines are located in the United States. I'm not interested in Sega Derby, Royal Ascot, or any other machine other than Sigma Derby. Thank you in advance.

Montreal has the Sega Royal Ascot. It's not Sigma Derby. That's as helpful as I can be.

There used to be a Sigma Derby in the old Dunes that had a progressive jackpot. It became playable at a certain amount. You would play a variety of Quinella combinations to hit it. From the good old days. Las Vegas doesn't have any machines today that were as fun to play as that one.

That's fascinating! I've never heard of a Sigma Derby machine with a progressive. Thanks for that information.

Neither have I and I am very familiar with the Sigmas Derby games. I even have a service manual for one and it doesn't mention it.

I'm told by website readers that the MontBleu in Lake Tahoe has one.

Based on the Sigma Derby group on Facebook, it looks as if MGM Las Vegas will no longer offer this game. According to Bianca Shaw, an MGM VP:
Dear Sigma Derby fans, we can’t thank you enough for your patronage and loyalty to MGM Grand. We have made every effort to keep this thirty year old game operational and on the casino floor for our loyal fan base. In recent years, it has become more and more difficult to maintain due to lack of available parts and required maintenance. We thank you for your patronage and continued support of this iconic classic and MGM Grand.
When I visited MGM in 2011, I got a couple rolls of quarters, and the cashier remarked “gonna play the ponies?” I chatted with him a bit and he claimed they had enough parts to keep it running for seven more years. His prescient remark has sadly come true.
So no more Sigma Derby in South Lake Tahoe nor at MGM Las Vegas. The only one remaining in operation as far as anyone's knowledge is at The D.

Thanks for the update. When I was there in June it was in real bad shape. The new version they’ve created is actually a pretty decent substitute. I’ll always have good memories of playing it. I don’t think I ever hit it for 200...
