WoV summer fling 2014??

Haha. Well I've been itching for a Vegas trip (I haven't been there since 2013's May WoV get-together). I'm long overdue!

I had a friend invite me out there for a couple days saying that he got a room comp Sun-Tues at the Downtown Grand. I guess it's a new hotel downtown. Normally I wouldn't like staying downtown (sorry all you downtown lovers, I'm a Strip girl) but he convinced me that it's all changing for the better. I'm just hoping along with that there will be less beggars on Fremont!

Anyway, I will be there Sunday July 20th - Tues for sure and then I will probably get a room for a few nights on the Strip till just before the weekend. Probably Monday, or even possibly Tuesday, I am going to check out the Silver & Gold Pawn Shop and Rick's Restorations as well. If anyone would like to join me for that and or/some fun gambling that would be great. I usually play blackjack, baccarat, and some 3-card poker (thanks to PaiGowDan) and some progressive slots and a little bit of craps. Also I want to zipline over Fremont again so that's something we could do.

If anyone would like to get together this coming week who lives in town or will be traveling as well hit me up.

The casino is very nice, though I wouldn't trust their PGP tables ;)

I'm afraid the beggar situation remains unchanged. Still a lot less beggars per square meter than I'm sued to, so they don't bother me at all. The zipline is longer and higher now.

I wish I could go to Vegas now. I begin missing Vegas when I get into the airport shuttle (really!). But reality is a heartless bitch, like gravity.

Good article. And I did not know those 2 killers worked as street performers there. I know it's a sensitive subject but where did they do the killings?

LVPD officers were shot and killed at a CiCi's Pizza and the civilian was shot and killed at a nearby Walmart minutes later.
